The author's sexual orientation has nothing to do with deserving to have his property destroyed. It bothers me that the SFPD, like so many other urban police departments, doesn't even bother to investiogate or pursue the perpetrators of property crimes. The standard response of the police to such crimes is "Do you have insurance?"
Now if the author of the article had been a police officer complaining of his property being destroyed and nothing being done by the police, I could agree that it was deserved.
