A Kenner man imitating the lyrics of a rap song accidentally shot and killed his friend Thursday night according to police.
Ronnie Webber, 27, was arrested on negligent homicide charges Thursday night.
According to Kenner Police, Weber said he was holding a semiautomatic handgun and listening to a rap song when he imitated the lyrics that called for a gun shot and the weapon went off and hit his friend, Johnathan Beasley, 23, in the chest.
Beasley was taken to Elmwood Medical Center and pronounced dead shortly after his arrival.
Police said Webber told them he thought the gun wasnt loaded, but he said he didnt check it to make sure.
Large children should not play with guns.
Too bad he didn't shoot himself and raise the average IQ of humanity.
It was just that damn May Queen again. I told her it was almost the middle of June, so beat it.
ROTFLMAO.
Wow. Rap Kills.
You can only imagine what happens when I sing "Why Don't We Get Drunk and Sc*w" by Jimmy Buffett.
Yeah, it does, but I have to tell you I don't understand why.
And I'm not defending that the guy used a real functioning weapon as a prop for this goofy activity. I'm just asking, why is it so hard to make sure the thing's unloaded...?
Lesson for the day: If you're planning on shooting along with your favorite rap jam, at least make sure you're not aiming your weapon at anyone.
Someone shoots at you?
;-)
"I can't imagine a 27-year-old man "imitating" a rap song. We played air guitar and pretended we were bands when I was in junior high. No guns involved, either."
He still is in High School..its that new math
EVOLUTION
I went to a gun fight and a rap concert broke out.
Note to self...Don't be friends with idiots.
Yet another mere coincidence
Yah, I believe everything I read.
does this help or hurt his street cred?
don't be alarmed now, it's just a spring clean (rather late) for the May queen.
How long until some leftist blames the gun and not the idocy of the guy pulling the trigger?
