Wikipedia tells me that Top Gear is a BBC show about cars.
Other than that? No. Comment. Whatsoever.

NASCAR SUCKS in the home state of the Talladega 500??? LOL! Yeah thatll get you killed.
Of all the phrases they painted on those cars the NASCAR comment would be the most offensive to Alabamans and Alabamwomans.

Similar experiment: Drive a car with "Manchester United is Rubbish" on it through downtown Manchester. I suspect you'll die quicker and less pleasantly there.

Very Funny. But I am sure it was scripted.

Drive a car with "Manchester United is Rubbish" on it through downtown Manchester. I understand. Rubbish is an incendiary word no matter where one is.

I just downloaded this episode from the BBC but have yet to watch it. Top Gear is a pretty awesome show but I was wondering exactly what they were going to be doing over here. FWIW, the lead presenter on the show,
Richard Hammond, was almost killed last year but is back on the air in top form (at least the past two weeks were rather good)
I imagine they probably do make the standard stereotypes but I'll watch it this evening to see

I just finished watching the entire episode. I can't stop laughing at that bit. They start in Miami with vehicles that couldn't cost more than $1000. What happens at one point is they have to paint each others' cars with stupid things to see who they can get and I quote 'arrested or shot' while they drive through Alabama. The pickup truck has 'Man Love Rules OK' painted on the side in pink. The Caddy has 'Hillary for President' on the side and 'NASCAR sucks' on the back. Is it stupid? Yes. It may have been scripted, it may not have been. And there is the British arrogance quite evident the entire time. But it was funny at bits.
