President Obama's Birthplace - A national monument?

Posted on 01/22/2009 8:58:37 AM PST by deks

President Barack H. Obama’s biographers will need to know a little more than is currently known about his birth. After all, the presidential birthplace should be a national monument. Preparations should be started now to preserve it. Where is the house in which he was born? Or was it a hospital, I can’t remember?

Since Obama is one of our youngest presidents, the midwife who assisted the birth should still be alive. Historians and journalists would like to interview her. Wait, was it a doctor who attended the birth of our first black president? What was his name?

Oh, you could just look on the original birth certificate to answer all of these questions. It will be necessary for the American people and the world to know this fascinating part of our history.

I just emailed Rush about it. I’d really like to see him pick this up.

You said:
“We need to contact our state officials to get laws passed to show certified “vault” birth certificate copies to be on the ballot”

I too believe that this is important for all future elections.

Thank you for that article. I had missed that one. They did good detective work to find almost every boyhood home. But this thread is about the President Barack H. Obama Birthplace Monument.

The article admits... “While most Obama residences can be traced, the hospital where he was born is difficult to document.”

That is because there is *no* official document that has ever been seen publicly that states in which house or hospital the first black President of the United States was actually born.

“The desire of historians to pinpoint where Obama’s life began has crashed head-on with the modern American propensity toward confidentiality,” they say. Well, I say that is historically unacceptable. American Presidents don’t hide their birth certificates... or do they... hmmmm. One seems to be doing just that now.

How can we ever have an Obama Birthplace Monument if there is no proof of
the address at which he was born?

I mailed letters today to Feinstein, Boxer and the White House. These frauds can ignore the issue all they want, but at least they will know that we’re on to the game and in pursuit.

Absolutely brilliant idea. I’ll be sending letters to the various reptilian Congressoids as well *demanding* that the Historic Birth Place be identified and made sacred.

I have sent some emails and will be sending snail mail. I am trying to get others to do the same and will make appearances at speeches, the capital and fund/campaign meetings. I am dedicated to this issue.

2. No one in Honolulu has come forward to acknowledge or celebrate the fact that the president was born there. This is highly unusual. When past presidents have been elected, their birthplace, hometown, and other events and locations have been acknowledged as historical landmarks. No plaques have been erected, no one has come forward with testimonials, no public figure has made any proclamation regarding the president being born in Hawaii or anywhere in the states. In fact, the hospitals in Honolulu all indicate that they have no record of his birth there. The address claimed was occupied by the owners who were two college professors who were not familiar with Obama’s family. However, Kenyan officials have proclaimed his birth in Kenya on several occasions.

You are correct, and your observation deserves a bump to the top.

Good luck....you've got a lot of hospital huts to research, each claiming the honors.

(BTW, Kapiolani, Queen's and Kaiser on Oahu deny having any record of birth for Obama).

Since Zero’s bro in Kenya makes 12 bucks a year and poops in a hole he dug..

My grandparents pooped in a hole they dug. I pooped in that hole too when I was little. It's not so bad. You just have to dig a new hole and fill in the old one from time to time.

The little house over the hole did get a might ripe in the summer time. Frostbite on the nether regions was a serious possibility in the winter. Old Monkey Wards and Sears and Sawbuck catalogs served one final purpose. (That was quite an improvement over the corn cobs that were sometimes used when my mother was growing up. :)

A friend about my age did the same in India when he was growing up. But without a real building, and no seat over the hole. However there was a screen and a canopy. The hole was first class though, it was surrounded by concrete. But I don't think I could deal the lack of a seat, or someplace to hang the paper or leaves or whatever.

no one has come forward with testimonials,

Well one. The Messaih's high school English teachers has come forward with a second hand testimonial. One problem with it though it that the doctor who supposedly delivered him, Dr. Rodney T. West, retired from practicing medicine 5 years before BHO was born, although he did not pass away until February of last year, and had When BHO had already been campaigning for about a year. Somehow Dr. West never bothered to mention "Stanley" delivering a black baby, fathered by the first black student at U of HI (BHO Sr was not, there was a woman who got her MS around 1915) and with the "musical name" of Barack Hussein Obama. Oh and she didn't come out with this cock and bull story until just before the Inauguration of The One.

CE, the link below claims that the Dunhams lived at the 6085 Kalaniana’ole address as their first Hawaiian residence. What does your research say about that?

Ha! Great story. I like the “first class” part. I’m a country girl. A little tinkle outside behind the barn is liberating! Nothin’ wrong with that! OK, that was TMI. Sorry.

I find it very odd how The Obama Furher has relatives so very poor all over the world and does nothing to help them. He must believe that only government helps people, by taxing everyone to death, wasting most of the money and then passing along a few pennies to the poor.

The first articles published by “The Honolulu Advertiser” mentioned that the Dunhams lived in two homes in Hawaii before moving into the apartment at 1617 S. Beretania St. Freeper John Valentine confirmed that the Dunhams lived at 2277 Kamehameha Ave. in 1960-61 and we also have Jr’s own words talking about when his father visited in 1971 when he mentions they took “walking tours past the private landmarks of a family and included walking past my grandparents’ first house in Hawaii, before the one on University Ave., a house I had never known.” (pg 39)
When Obama Sr visited in 1971 he was recovering from a car accident in which he had injured his leg which meant he was using a cane. The house at 6085 Kalanianaole Hwy was more than 7 miles from the apartment at S. Beretania St and neither Jr nor Sr could have walked a 14 mile round trip to view such a home.
Also you will note that “The Honolulu Advertiser” mentions an apartment at 1427 Alexander St which the Dunhams supposedly lived in in 1963. Why would the Dunhams live in an apartment in essence allowing Ann and Jr to take over the home at 2277 Kamehameha Ave before moving into the home again themselves? The paper never did a proper investigation and ran with the story of the addresses. If you will also notice when they contacted Nani Smethurst they TOLD her the home had been the first home Jr lived in after he was born and she said, “I didn’t know.”
I believe the apt at 1427 Alexander St was one which the Dunhams rented in their name for Ann and Jr upon their return from WA state in early 1963. Ann only lived in the apartment for a short time before moving back in with her parents at the house at 2277 Kamehameha Ave once she registered for spring classes at UH at Manoa.
The article which you linked is full of supposition, speculation and inneundo and is definitely an example of what journalism has come to, but it did allow me to figure out when Ann and Jr had returned to HI from WA state. We already knew that high school friend, Barbara Cannon Rusk, visited Ann at the apartment on Capitol Hill after the World’s Fair ended. The World’s Fair ended October 21, 1962 so Ann returned to Hawaii sometime after that. The mention of apt 110 1427 Alexander St. allowed me to figure out that Ann phoned her parents and asked them to rent her an apartment for her and Jr to live in upon her return to HI. When Ann registered for spring 1963 classes at UH at Manoa she used the address 2277 Kamehameha Ave. which is the house the Dunhams had lived in since they moved to Hawaii in 1960.

I’d like to add that the notion that anyone who lived in a home on Kamehameha Avenue in 1961 would willingly give that up in favor of an apartment on Alexander Street for any reason short of total financial collapse, i.e. bankruptcy, is laughable to the point of hysterics.

Who on earth would even try to peddle such a ludicrous tale? It’s pretty clear to me that Chief Engineer has the scenario pretty well assessed.

LOL Well obviously “The Honolulu Advertiser” is trying to peddle the ludicrous tale. They simply ran with the story and tried to figure it out as they wrote it, nice to have a birth announcement with an address on it and simply assume, but we all know the adage of the word “assume”. IMO the story which the paper published is laughable in the extreme trying to make a story fit what the journalists assumed! It’s getting almost too easy to debunk some of the stories which journalists print!

Maybe the Dunhams had a cash flow problem... they would have had to pay Barack Sr a pretty penny to pose as the father in order to shield their Commie friend Frank Marshall Davis from possible statutory rape charges and/or even greater FBI scrutiny...

I think that Ann moved back in with her parents to be an instate student. When she originally went to UH in 1960 she would have used the 2277 Kamehameha Ave. address. When she registered for the 1963 spring classes at UH it would have been difficult to prove she had lived on the island continuously so she would qualify as an instate student, unless she used the same address to register again. (which she did) She did receive credit for the courses she took at UW and yet why did it take so long for her to graduate with a B.A. in math unless she didn’t present those credits to officials at UH and had to start almost from scratch towards her degree. With the credits she received her first semester at UH and the credits from UW she should have completed her degree in 1965 not 1966.
