Yeah, I can still read the screen but it is very annoying to do so. It is like the words are vibrating slightly. I would say the left 75% of the screen is where the problem is. Thanx in advance for any help on this.

Check if the cable has any of its pins bent.
Also check the display settings on the computer.
Lastly, most monitors have a reset feature in their on-board menus.

First You need to take it to a freinds computer or a shop computer and plug it into it to see if you get the same.

Make sure cables are still connected tightly.

Check the power and VGA cords to see if they’re loose at either end.

Have you tried power-down, disconnect monitor from computer, reconnect to computer and restart?
It sounds like a loose connection on your monitor cable.
Try this... with the computer on as it is, GENTLY wiggle the cable very slightly (just a little pressure side to side) and see if it affects the screen. If it does, it’s probably the connection. If it does not, try the cable connection to the monitor. If neither connection is loose, it’s probably the monitor itself.

Large Hammer, heavily applied, followed by credit card usage. Get a 1080P TV and use it as your monitor.

Could be pins/connection at the monitor. Could be the cable, or either of the cable ends. Could be the computer pins/connections/vid board/driver.
You should have a dianostic button/feature with the monitor.
Run it.
Hook it up to another computer.
Try a different cable.

It’s a common fault of cheaper monitors.

Check the cables (power and video) both at the monitor and at the computer.
Sometimes a loose cable can cause that.

If your monitor has a “Degauss” option do that... it’s cool looking.

Check your blood pressure.

I would say that the first step is to isolate the problem.
The only way you can do that is to hook it up to another computer to see if you get the same symptoms. If the symptoms are the same, it's a monitor problem. If symptoms disappear, it's a computer problem.
PJ, please return and let us know the results of your investigation.

I had a laptop that did that when the video card went. If you don’t have a video “card”, it could be the graphics chip on the motherboard going bad, overheating.
Have you cleaned out your case lately? Dust and dirt cause a buildup of heat. Heat kills.

1) Power supply is going bad.
or
2) Inverter board inside monitor is going bad.
If either one is the culprit, then it’s time to get a new monitor. It’s just not cost effective to fix them anymore.

You probably need a new wobbler bearing for your hard drive. It works kind of like the knueter valve in your car; you feel it in your steering wheel when, after you make a turn and start to accelerate, it straightens out the car. You’ll notice it next time you go out for burgers.
