"Intellectuals and their followers have often been overly impressed by the fact that intellectuals tend, on average, to have more knowledge than other individuals in their society. What they have overlooked is that intellectuals have far less knowledge than the total knowledge possessed by the millions of other people whom they disdain and whose decisions they seek to override." (Thomas Sowell)
The wisdom of crowds.

Excellent!
Sowell ping!
Obama is not an intellectual in any real sense of the term. The MSM crowns Dem presidents from Woodrow Wilson to FDR, to JFK, Carter, Clinton and now Obama as “intellectuals” simply because they have some ivy league connections. Remember how Carter was referred to as a “nuclear engineer”! But alas poor GWB, despite a Harvard MBA, are seen as dunces as did Reagan and Ford before him.
Before I call the Mulatto Queen an “intellectual”, he’s gonna have to show us his grade transcripts from college. I’m guessing my 2.6 might beat him.
Brilliant.
Democracy is based on the assumption that a million men are wiser than one man. How's that again? I missed something.Autocracy is based on the assumption that one man is wiser than a million men. Let's play that over again, too. Who decides?

Yes, wouldn’t it be nice to see SOMEthing from Zero’s school days? We have still seen nothing at all —
And ‘intellectual’ my foot! He’s an affirmative action phony with the ‘gift’ (his word) of gab, usually with the help of TOTUS.
Thomas Sowell is an intellectual. And a liberty-lover. Who writes his own books.
Barack H. Obama is a community organizer. And a collectivist. Who doesn’t.
Agreed, Obama is not an intellectual. Rush Limbaugh and Glenn Beck and Mark Levin - those are intellectuals. They know philosophy and political history. They speak in facts and form well-grounded conclusions. Obama and the like speak in platitudes, they great at begging questions and very poor at forming arguments. “We need to do health care to save the economy.” “We need to pass cap and trade to create jobs.”
