I do the TIA’s with my friend all the time. She is 100 and still kicking it!

Make sure you keep 81mg aspirin with you at all times. They make a powdered version that melts right in your mouth and is absorbed quickly.

Many times TIA’s are episodic.

I prayed for you.

Merry Christmas!

This is what I recently heard from a man suffering from mild depression. Ingredients of happiness:

(1) Something to do,
(2) Something to hope for,
(3) Someone to love.

I agree. It’s easy to come up with #1. By itself, it’ll lead to nothing. I think you must have ## 2 & 3 first. That’s what my own sister destroyed for me.

I wonder if its better than a good bourbon?

Well...yes, if you're eating corn flakes. I've heard of dunking oreos in whiskey/bourbon. Never tried it.

Bed time. Merry Christmas!

Somebody said “you get used to it”.

No ya don’t.

It’s like bein’ hanged.

You never get used to it.

Hope next year’s better for ya, sincerely.

Wash your hair!! LOL Do you know that song?

Enjoy your evening. Make it what you want it to be. Give yourself a manicure or some crazy face mask :-) Enjoy the "new birth" of the new you being single. I think Christmas is the perfect time. Time to look forward to new beginnings :-)

God Bless you and Merry Christmas!!!!!

I still have hope, Sal. Or else I would have jumped from a beautiful bridge. I wish you the best in the coming New Year.

LOL! You remember much more than I!!! I have to admit that I didn’t know about the head shop. As I found out years later, my then-husband probably did, though!! I was so naive back then...sigh.

The 54th just had Hueys, and were both DUST-OFF and MAST. I was the only avionics, and I was fresh out of AIT...much of what I learned was from SSG Gert Bindrich. GREAT guy!

I became enamored with hummers while recouping from a set of three surgeries. I was able to be outside with my dog for hours, resting and watching the birds.

There was this gang of hummers that would swoop in on a feeder that would get filled up with the red sugar-water syrup they like to eat. The dog and I would watch them. It took my mind off of everything. They do chirp at each other, and they are little kamikazes with other hummers, protecting their food supply. I decided they are actually mean little birds. I didn’t know, however, until that time that hummers can perch; I’d been told they slept while they flew, which seemed illogical to me. They have the tiniest little feet.

Later on, I dug into all things hummingbird and categorized which ones I ended up feeding. Turns out there were 26 species. I do love the hum of their little wings, but they can fly close to your ears for some reason, probably to warn you off what they think is food, even if that ‘food’ is something you’re wearing.

Sorry to hear it EQ, but at least you are with your FRiends tonight. Keep in mind that things won't always be like they are now. Life has its seasons, and those seasons change.

Merry Christmas!

Well, I think the little guy who’s after me is just a bully. Honest, there I am on my deck, drowsing, and he’s RIGHT IN MY FACE! He’s carrying an Uzi, too. Well, at least I think so...

His name is Django and he’s 10 1/2.

He’s gotten quite gray in the past couple of years. And he’s slower now. But, he’s still just a big, goofy puppy.

I’m thinkin’ that birds seem to “be there” for those who need to be needed. I guess it’s ok to broach this on Christmas Eve: It’s as though God knows when to send ‘em.

:-)

I think some people are just happier being alone, alone does not mean lonely.

Hubby passed away 20 years ago, I had one date a year later and decided it wasn't for me. I just didn't return his call that my answering machine caught..nice enought guy, but as you say, do what you want, when you want, clean house if it bothers you, wear your PJs until 5pm. Get up when you want, go to bed when you want, make meals when your hungry and not on schedule etc etc etc.

I had many good friends, travels with them etc. but alas, when you get into your 70's, they up and die on you...:O( I was the youngest...

With 5 kids and 13 grandkids, and lucky to love all my daughter in laws and my one son in law I am a happy camper...

I either have an immortal dragonfly or a series of genetically programmed ones that guard my Yukon [and all the other vehicles I’ve had over the last 10 years or so] every summer.

It [or its descendants] hover over and dart frantically around it all day.

If we drive away, it gets panicky but then waits in the walnut tree until we return.

If somebody else gets near the Yuke, they get dive-bombed.

I have *no* idea what the deal is with that thing....:)

I also have “guard carpenter bees” who just attack anybody who isn’t us...and even then, it took about 4 years before they accepted hubby as “mine”....;]

People freak out and won’t believe me when I tell them it’s all bluff.

They’ve got no stingers...just lots of bravado.
