As you can see from the images I took from the video, this did not
go the way it was planned. Sometimes you just have to ask, "Whatever happened to that voice in
one's head that's supposed to say,"
Just so you know, the only things hurt real bad was the truck, the guys pride, and his pocket book.
Check out this 4 wheeling stunt that did not turn out as planned. .........

Good try, though! He just got too far underneath it.
Can I be first in with “Was anybody holding his beer?”
Can I be first in with “Was anybody holding his beer?”
hode mu beer, Ollie.
It’s good to hear that the man was not seriously hurt and that he lived to learn this expensive lesson.
Generally, no. They have clauses that exempt certain practices. I have liability and uninsured/underinsured only on my premium for my Jeep.
This appears to be a Jeep Cherokee XJ that has been modified for this purpose. Since this XJ didn't roll all the way over, just unbolt everything and buy another one. An XJ will run you between $1,000 and $4,500 unmodified.
This guy bought his XJ brand new in 2001, and has easily put over $15,000 in mods into it. The XJ would have cost more than $20,000 brand new in 2001.
For the uninitiated, this is what these guys do. I can tell you first hand when my son was younger, every weekend 4 wheeling event always resulted in what seemed to be major repairs. The steepest climb, the deepest mud hole. This guy would have made it if he hadn’t gunned it at the top.
That is a lot of money to burn up in a very short period of time.
Used to have a slightly modded out CJ-5 that I came close to flipping, scared the crap outta me
The bad thing with the carb equipped Jeeps they would starve for fuel sometimes on a steep incline..found that out the hard way about halfway up a hill
Got to love the ending blurb...
You have reached the end of your brain...would you like to start over?
Yeah, I mean ... I’m not sure if I’m the only here that thinks this...
But offroading is a blast ! I’m sorry to see the mistake, and the money that was lost.. But that’s the way of the Hobby !
Something tells me that when our toys cost more than a house did in the 60’s and we treat it as such a manner, that America is not so bad of a place as Obama and his sycophants want us to believe.
At least when this video was taken, which I understands was a few years ago.
As for today, America does suck, thanks to the zero in the oval office and his communist allies in Congress.
A friend of mine (not particularly handy nor desirous of constantly working on a Jeep or anything else) bot an 80’s CJ-7 because he scored a nice deal on a FL beach home and had to have a 4x4 by a cutoff date in order to preserve his ability to drive on the beach. So he bot what he thought was a “pretty good” one, not a basket case.
I probably don’t have to finish this story for you!
Anyway, after replacing nearly everything except the engine & drivetrain (with a $25 hour labor friend who worked at the local Jeep dealer) and about $10K later, he was stylin’.
What’s that they say, JEEP = “Just Empty Every Pocket?”
Most of these vehicles are not daily drivers. Most are trailered to these events. Also, many of these vehicles are nothing but shells, modified for just this kind of sport. I think at one time my son had three K-5 Blazer bodies with extra hoods doors and fenders and lots of drive train parts.
Yup. But as it is with any vehicle-related hobby, just bring more money. Doesn't matter if it's muscle car at the strip, a roundy-rounder, or an off-road vehicle. The really bad deal is if it was his only vehicle or a daily driver.
Otherwise, like I said, just unbolt the mods, find a different XJ, and keep on wheelin'.
Weekend insanity? You’re talking to an ex-biker chick. I used to dice with my boyfriend (now Hubby) and our pals. When I look back on it, I realize that we’re both very lucky to be alive. An inch here, a few millimeters there, and it would have been all over. Not all of our friends made it, and Hubby and I have our share of road rash scars. The Lord blessed us beyond all patience and understanding.
Dear God, thank You again.
