Any candidate who is asked about something like this in a Debate, should immediately dismiss it and move on. Don't get caught with that "Gotcha Question". The media will crush you with it.

Yes, I’ve heard of those, but I’m not sure if it was 0bama himself who openly attacked his opponent based on those issue. He let his minions do it for him. That’s exactly how it is supposed to be.

This idjiot has never been vetted. The SRM was far too busy trying to find some dirt on Gov Palin, and is now headed to Texas to dig up dirt on Gov Perry. If the voters had known half as much about zero as they did about Palin, I don't think he would have been the candidate, much less elected.

As long as crackpot theories such as this keep getting passed around, legitimate questions regarding his Social Security number will continue to be ignored.
There was a theory posited by one of the Obots and repeated over and over and over, that Obama actually does have a HI SS#. It’s just the typist who screwed it up, and transposed a couple of numbers. Now I myself read that ‘theory’ umpteen dozens of times. To me, it’s crackpotism itself, and the kind of wacky apologetic that only an Obot would believe and preach.
I don’t see, given your positive haunting of ‘birther’ threads, how you could have missed it. So let me ask you something. How many times did you mock and ridicule the Obot who posted it? If you say often, may I have a link? Or if you (1) claim you never saw it or (2) never uttered a peep, what does that say? That crackpotism in favor of Obama is A-Okay, but if it casts doubt on his birth narrative it needs to be mocked and derided??

You have no trouble spotting anti-Obama crackpotism. You need me to point you to pro-Obama crackpotism, though. Says it all, doesn’t it?

Which, if you think about it, is my point. You were posting relentlessly on these threads during the heyday of that ‘theory’. You caught all kinds of anti-Obama stuff at that very time, but you missed the Obama pimp who tried to prop his hero up with the crackiest of crackpot theories.

Just to clarify, Kleon, I’m not suggesting, even tertiarily, that you are a troll or an Obot. I’m not even thinking it, much less suggesting it. I’m only pointing out that you could be more balanced in your ‘birther’ comments. I get that you think we’re all, at least to some degree, ignorant, stupid, insane or gullible. My point is that some of the Obots have been OTT bizarre in their defense of Obama, and yet it’s only ‘birthers’ who’ve called them on it. Why not be an equal opportunity mocker? Go after an Obot now and again. Who knows? You might end up liking it.
It's possible I just skimmed over it, because I'm not all that interested in the Connecticut number question. I will be honest, though, and say that if I had read it, I probably wouldn't put it in the same category as birther theories. At least it's within the realm of possibility.
I believe to undo what has been done by Obama it will be necessary to know who, what, how and why was involved.

You're right to want to read the theory in the original, as birthers are notoriously unreliable sources. As you will be able to verify for yourself, the birther with whom you were interacting failed to describe the theory accurately:

In a nutshell, the theory is that Obama's SSN begins with an 042 because the typist who entered his zip code into a computer mistyped a "9" as a zero.
You see, SSN's are assigned based on the zip code of the mailing address indicated on the application. Bascially, a clerk types the zip code into a computer, and the computer generates a SSN. It turns out that if you mistype the leading "9" as a "0" in the Honolulu zip code at which Obama was residing when a teenager, you'll get a Connecticut zip code.
Furthermore, since the Social Security Administration does not attach any importance to the leading 3 digits of the SSN, using it only as a bookkeeping device, there would be no reason to assign Obama a new SSN once the error was discovered.
Given that government bureaucrats committ typographical with some frequency, I believe this is the only plausible explanation for him having a SSN beginning with 042 that I've seen anyone come up with.

Theories are not documented. My information comes form legal dockets which have attached documents. So, the burden of proof as to whether it's just "crackpot" is on you.
