I left the game where Jackson had his three homers in the second inning. (I was working at the Stadium, and had press box access, player lot parking, etc., but I could never get out of there fast enough.)

Come on now, Bill Buckner was the greatest first baseman of all time. Just look at that ‘stash.

A really nasty man who, sadly, is gifted athletically and his misdeeds ignored.

I do hope nobody thinks I post this because I am a big Texas Ranger fan. LOL

“Remember, he is only 29 years old, so he should be just entering his prime.”

Wow, he is actually YOUNGER than he says he is? That’s the first time I’ve seen that! He claims to be 31. But yeah, a tremendous player.

Just imagine if Ichiro could have been in the MLB from the begining of his career.

Ah, missed that. Sorry. If he is indeed only 31 then he has a lot of baseball left. He certainly proved a point last night. It will be interesting to see what texas does with him tonight.

He is excellent, no doubt but I disagree his best years are ahead of him. Pitchers mature about this time in their career but the other positions have hit their peek about here and drop off from here on.

I wonder why he didn’t become a free agent and get the rally big bucks?

During the NLCS, the TBS crew ran a graphic comparing Pujols and Prince Fielder and concluded that Fielder was the better prize during this off-season. Seriously.

Helluva game by Pujols and the rest of the Cards. Kudos to them for a well played 9 innings.

Go Rangers!!!!!!

LOL. What a joke. Maybe on a pound for pound basis, you get more out of Fielder. (more pounds per dollar, not more production per pound).

He will make a pile of money for sure. The only problem for the team which gets him (if not St Louis) if the team is a big market team, which it surely will be, is can he play in a media market like NYC or Boston. Enough players have signed big contracts in major markets and fallen flat on their faces because of the enormous pressure put on them by the fans and the media.

Like they say, NYC is a tough town

I’ll bet he gets north of $30 million per and a 5 year contract.
