Great comparison between Lou Gehrig and Albert Pujols. Both men were/are also both class acts off the field. Pujols became a U.S. Citizen just four years ago and really seems to appreciate what made this country great and the opportunities it has given him.
Gehrig, despite having his life cut short by a terrible disease, left us with a legacy of humility and gratitude for the same opportunities.
Either gentleman is the mirror opposite of the legions of useless celebs who have everything handed to them and still trash this country.

Thank Carlos Marmol for walking the universe in St. Louis during the last Saturday of the regular season. The Cards should vote that bum a World Series share.
As a Cubs fan I can't type what I'm thinking or I'd face certain banning and probably jail time.

Time for some Chuck Norris type of quotes about Albert.

But Reggie did it on THREE PITCHES! Think that will ever be done again?
To: Vigilanteman
Actually when he does it twice he’ll tie the record. Babe Ruth has the record.

I’m listening real hard...but I haven’t heard the fat lady singing yet.
(Just a personal thought...I think Ronnie Dunn should hire himself out to sing the National Anthem at all games.)

I wonder what was worse tonight, the Rangers’ pitching or OU’s defense?

Congratulations, Mr. Pujols. Even though I’m rootin’ for Nolan Ryan’s team.

But hey, YOU guys WON that series back in St. Louis.

Clearly, the Cheesesteaks are eating away at your brain.
Howard is a St. Louis boy by the way.

No. Thank the Atlanta Braves for letting them in. Only the seoond biggest collapse in MLB history allowed the Cards to make it to the NLCS.

Well thanks fellas for “letting” us into the Post Season.
After all, occasionally, these silly, inconsequential midwestern teams DO need a bone thrown to them.....

Our new Boston blood has a ton of work ahead of him. My heart says Theo Epstein could revive the organization, while my brain says he’ll fail just like everyone else over the past 103 years; I trust my brain.

That’s funny. I hate both teams...stewing braves fan :(
