It is, obviously, the remnants of a landing platform for alien spacecraft.

And I’ll be willing to bet that the Nazca Lines are EXACTLY on the opposite side of the planet (give or take a few 100 degrees of latitude and longitude< LOL)

My wild guess on this is, the circular form is due to an impact, but the lack of shocked quartz and whatnot is due to the area having been covered by ice or water at the time of the impact. If there's no iridium enrichment, then the impactor was a comet. And I just now had breakfast, I work fast. ;')
