Culture and education are part and parcel of the same human package...even though the standards of education have changed over the millennia. Can’t be separated or even parsed.
EVERY society, even the most primitive, “educated” its young in whatever way was essential to the culture.
Much of the curriculum comes directly out of the minds of scumbags like William Ayers and Van Jones tells me that education is the bigger problem.
Everything is being skewed by catering to dysfunctional subcultures. The only way to educate many of them would be to remove them from subculture influence at birth.
I am inclined to believe a full court press hit our schools and churches simultaneously, making milquetoast out of the meat and potatoes of both, as socialist/Marxist thought became pervasive. Of course Christians recognise the Enemy stirs against believers under many names.
1. Culture influences education in aristocratic types of cultures with limited forms of government.
2. Education influences culture in democratic/socialist cultures where "education" is an oxymoron because it's more of an industry than an institution and often ends up catering to unassimilated people who can't be educated.
In the 1920s, the influential Italian communist Antonio Gramsci wrote that in order to take over a country or a society, communists first had to take over its institutions, by which he meant the media, the education system, the universities, the legal profession, voluntary organisations and churches. Methodically, and slowly but surely, his idea was put into practice in our country. What you see is the result. All of those very institutions have been taken over by the far Left in our country, and they are now taking us to our doom.
And the intellectuals and philosophers influence both.
They’re easy to dismiss, but their opinions control the future.
Education, its benefactors and beneficiaries influence culture in many ways (e.g., sponsorships of propaganda/news). The reverse only happens, after a population is harmed enough to revert to rebelliously engaging in healthier behaviors and disrespecting the activities of those who influence official education.
Read some of the works of Vaclav Havel.
