Firefox’s wounds have been self-inflicted.

No surprise that almost as many folks are using pre-XP flavors as are using Vista. Vista was always seen as garbage with most sales coming from factory installs.

I haven’t tried 8.1, but limited experience with 8 showed that it must have been developed by the Vista team. I’ll stick with 7 at this point until something better comes along.

Linux slipped 0.23 percent to 1.41 percent.

...

Poor old Linux, in spite of its promoters.

1.68% are still using pre-XP Windows??

Are these cash registers, ATM’s and ticket machines? Hobbyists maybe?

I’ve been on 8.1 since it was released (free upgrade from 8) and IMO it’s as good as Windows 7.

Hey, whoa, I know TWO PEOPLE beside me who have a Linux box as their principle workstation and one of them even has a girlfriend and a social life and everything.

No, it isn't me.

I have been too and agree. It also makes multi-tasking easier than 7 in my opinion.

I got a new computer with Windows 7. I’m trying to get XP Mode to work so I can run some of my older programs.

Poor old Linux, in spite of its promoters.

Jim and John Robinson choose Linux as the platform to power Free Republic. Therefore 100% of those reading and posting in this thread are, in reality, using Linux.
