The Colbert Report‘s replacement, The Nightly Show, has only been on the air for two days, but its host Larry Wilmore has already gone after Bill Cosby.
As Vulture reported, Wilmore opened last night’s show by addressing the fact that so many people are still doubting the women who are alleging that Cosby drugged and assaulted them, calling out Cosby for embarking on an ill-timed and poorly named comedy tour, and for shushing hecklers with a creepy “Shh…shh…” approach.
Wilmore does have a point. It is a really bad idea to send someone in the middle of a high-profile sexual assault controversy out on a tour called, “Far From Finished.” And while, the bit about how Cosby should handle hecklers seems a little off topic, the comic was dead on about the inherent sexism that is underlying much of this controversy.
The Nightly Show host also explained that there are just too many women who have come forward to ignore. He said, “The current tally is 35 women — that’s like if Bill Cosby drugged and raped every U.S. president from George Washington to John F. Kennedy.”

Wilmore may just be the latest in a long line of comics ranging from Hannibal Buress to Tina Fey to Abdul Butt to go after Cosby, but what’s striking is that he’s launching his new show by addressing this controversy. where is NOW? Where are democrats who have been crying about a war on women perpetuated by GOP? 1 might be a liar.Oprah where are you? Denzel? Whare are you. Anna Wintour, Lena Dunham, Sandra Fluk ? Maybe because taking these allegations seriously would require looking at Bill Clintons victims as actual victims and that screws the DEM narrative.
This 50 year serial rapist is not being brought down by a democrat lynch mob, in fact they have covered for him for 50 years, luckily this time the internet finally made it impossible for him to keep stuffing the stories back into the bottle.
It’s all about “belief”. “Why won’t you believe these women and their stories?”
Well, if their stories are true, then what does it matter if anyone else believes them? This whole thing rubs me the wrong way, as these people seem to be pushing in a coordinated effort for us to suspend “presumption of innocence” for “special cases” like rape or sexual assault.
All of the folks you mention are VERY busy right now, laboring in the trenches of the feminist movement, and earnestly endeavoring to alleviate the terrible, misogynistic, evil persecution of WOMEN in the muslim world.....NOT!!!!!!!!!!!

Clarence Thomas, Herman Cain, and now Bill Cosby. Conservative black men seem to be attacked in this way.
Bill Cosby isn’t even a conservative, but he has said some out spoken conservative ideas that are unpopular with the dems, so he got the treatment too.
Even if it is true about Cosby, be aware of why it came out now.

He faced a trial and police report for a 2004 drugging and rape in 2005, a case that brought forth 13 more Jane Does to testify to his methods.
Cosby settled out of court on that one in 2006, and does not include her in his bland denials.
Clinton never got his trial for Juanita Broaddrick, nor did he settle out of court with her rape claim, nor for that matter did he have dozens of women of all ages come forth with claims covering 5 decades of him being a serial rapist.
Paula Jones won an out of court settlement against Clinton.
Right, it was only three decades.

You really think that he settled on one drugging rape in 2006 because he has never drugged or raped a woman?

No, Bill Clinton was not accused of being a prolific serial rapist over 5 decades, or any decades, like Bill Cosby has been for many years and by dozens of women.

It didn’t come out now, it came out 10 years ago, and don’t be so silly as to try and mix up Clarence Thomas, or Herman Cain into being serial rapists, drugging and raping women.
