I am honestly getting a little scared of what I see happening in politics at the moment. Trump seems to be creating a personality cult where his supporters don’t seem to care what they are supporting provided he attacks the people they don’t like. I am starting to feel a little bit like a German citizen in the early 1930’s watching normally rational conservatives start to cultishly follow a strong leader who they thought would fight back and stop the communists.
Seriously if I had to pick a political philosophy for the Trump movement I would say that it is fascism for the following reasons.
1. Trump's support of and past involvement in crony capitalism (such as his support for using the condemnation power of the state to take property for private parties with good government connections).
2. Trump's followers extreme desire for a strong leader and almost mystical belief that he can fix things without caring what his beliefs or idealogy is.
3. Trump's support for a type of nationalism that is starting to push into the overtly rascist and nativist realm.
4. The delight that Trump seems to take in personally demeaning and attempting to destroy anyone who opposes him. And the way that his followers cheer him on in so including supporting him using sexist slurs against Megan Kelly for doing her job as a journalist.
5. Finally, the fact that Trump and his supporter seem to have no concern for the constitution or the separation of powers.
Zotbait must be reading liberal blogs, then, and regurgitating that bull squeeze on Free Republic. Just as I suspected.

Whose property has Trump forcibly seized with the government behind him? The Vera Coking case does not apply, nor does Bridgeport CT, when the circumstances are considered.
They do not resemble original thoughts at all. They look exactly like the liberal and RINO screeds that abound on the web right now.
Why do those not apply. My understanding is that in those cases Trump tried to use the power of the government to seize his neighbors property. So, I see no reason that they do not apply. Also, Trump came out in support of Kelo when it was decided and I have never heard anything about him reversing his support for that decision.
I am sure there are some people with similar concerns - at least I would certainly hope there are. However, you can look as long as you want and you won’t find another article exactly like mine because I assure that I wrote it. However, knock yourself out searching if you don’t believe me.
The Atlantic City case did not start with Trump having the city act as his bulldog. Especially in the Coking case, Trump even offered the woman as high as $1 million before the city butted in with eminent domain proceedings—and Coking won against the city, with a judge throwing out the case against her.
I’m sure that some people are of course smugly satisfied with the failure of Trump’s casino notwithstanding; Coking ended up moving to a retirement home in Florida, leaving her son to try to sell the dilapidated rooming house (she bought it in 1961 for $20K, about $160K in 2015 dollars), which ended up being bought by Carl Icahn for a little over half a million (he’s the holder of Trump’s former AC properties) and being razed by Icahn.
Either way, you have a valid question to pose to Trump as to how he views Kelo today (remember his last stated opinion was ten years ago), and what he would do about it if he did actually attain the presidency. The plaintiffs in Kelo did make out better financially due to governor Rell’s intervention, and the land in question was never redeveloped.
2. Crony capitalism is when a capitalistic system is taken over by the corporations. it's the weakness of capitalism but it is NOT capitalism. Crony Capitalism is the antithesis to capitalism.
3. Around the time of McCarthy was the height of Capitalism at it's best. Where McCarthy gave the facts and allowed the people to decide what to do with them for the most part. Singapore's first Prime Minister Mr Yew had similar issues as McCarthy and took it up and threw all the opposition party leaders into prison. Freedom of press wasn't allowed. Yew became a strong man but a very good one for his people and his country which is rare.
The term your looking for is a strong man. Yes, Trump could very likely turn out to be a strong man but we really don't know or if he would be a good one?

Unfortunately, we may already be in a low-level state of civil war. Whether or not it breaks out to full scale fighting is yet to be determined.
A civil war in the US would indeed be a dreadful thing. It would be more like the Lebanese civil war than the War for Southern Independence. The opposing factions are far too intermingled for the issue to be resolved on a territorial basis - the enemy would be your neighbor, or just down the road.

So now, more than ever it is imperative to turn on and attack the elites, because they are torching this civil war.
I hate Planned Parenthood and was protesting against them on Saturday. In fact, one of the things I dislike about Trump is that he was the least enthusiastic about ending funding for planned parenthood. He wanted to continue funding what he called the good parts.
They use the same terms to describe anyone who opposes illegal immigration, affirmative action, and multiculturalism, and it's sad to see conservatives jumping aboard the same PC bandwagon, whoever the target.
