A team of conservationists were working on restoring an old hut that served as an Antarctic exploration outpost when they discovered a box full of undeveloped negatives, frozen in a solid block of ice.

phew, they found it just in time- another couple of weeks or so, according to our dear leader, and all the ice I n the arctics will be gone and entire countries will be under water

When they found the remains of Robert Falcon Scott and his team they found his team’s camera. The photos were developed and it shows the one of them standing at Amundsen’s marker and one of them is pulling the string to the camera. What a look of disappointment on their faces. Really an amazing photo.

I must be old. The pictures are circa 1915? I dunno, that just doesn’t seem that old I guess.

Those were sent for developing to Walgreen’s in 1816; they had a double print special going on that year.
Just waiting for them to be done.
