The extremely elusive giant squid are typically never seen by the human eye but one four-metre long Architeuthis decided to put on a show for a group Japanese spectators on Christmas Eve. The massive orange and white live squid was filmed swimming next to a boat's moorings in Toyama Bay on the west coast of Japan, according to Motherboard. Such large squid live deep underwater and are normally only found dead floating on the surface of the ocean or washed up on beaches, according to Ocean Portal.

"You're an architeuthis?"

"I'm not?"

Godzira! Godzira!

I think this will take more than Godzilla. We may have to throw in Mothra and Raymond Burr.

I recently saw an ad for that rum. Will have to try it. I’m an offbeat label hunter. Lol

I favor Mt. Gay Eclipse rum, myself, for regular sipping. Most of the cheaper rums are nasty.

This is a heavy blackstrap rum... think of a rum and molasses mix with some spices (I think nutmeg is fashionable) thrown in. If you try it before I do, let me know how you like it.

Not bad at all. But my (adult) son’s friend would start imitating Captain Jack Sparrow when he drank it, so now it’s banned from my house.

Heck a six inch squid would be calamari for life for some people.

I will. My neighbor at the marina gave me a bottle of Pampero Aniversario for Christmas. Squat bottle that comes in a leather wrapper. Supposed to be excellent sipping rum. Haven’t tried it yet.
I buy offbeat labels. I bought Death Wish Coffee for some Marina neighbors because it had a skull and crossbones on it. I’m partial to Buccaneers and pirate stuff but sea stuff is good too. Lol
