Secret Service Investigating Trump Adviser Over Hillary 'Treason' Remarks

The Secret Service is investigating comments made by a Donald Trump adviser for veteran's issues for saying that Hillary Clinton should be executed for "treason."

"The U.S. Secret Service is aware of this matter and will conduct the appropriate investigation," spokesman Robert Hoback told The Daily Beast on Wednesday.

The adviser, New Hampshire State Rep. Al Baldasaro, told the Daily Beast earlier Wednesday that "anyone who commits treason should be shot.

"I believe Hillary Clinton committed treason," he added. "She put people in danger. "When people take confidential material off a server, you're sharing information with the enemy. That's treason."

Baldasaro said Tuesday that the presumptive Democratic presidential nominee should be "put in the firing line" because of the email scandal — also labeling her "a piece of garbage" in a radio interview on The Jeff Kuhner Show.

"She is a disgrace for the lies that she told those mothers about their children that got killed over there in Benghazi," he said, according to Buzzfeed News. "She dropped the ball on over 400 emails requesting back up security.

"Something's wrong there."

Baldasaro also told Breitbart News Wednesday that the media needed to "kiss off" as he slammed coverage of Melania Trump's speech Monday amid accusations that she plagiarized remarks from Michelle Obama at the 2008 Democratic National Convention.

Technically, it's not treason. It's espionage, and violation of the Federal Records Act. Both of these are serious felonies, for which a regular Joe working in the intel community would be sent to federal prison for a very long time.

Saying she should be executed, and actually saying you're GOING TO DO IT, are two different things. Hard to believe in this country you can be investigated by the Feds for merely suggesting something should happen. Anybody who votes for her ought to be shot for treason.
