For one, they have declared a war on the science of DNA and genetics. Now science doesn’t matter, because if you think you are really a dog, a horse, or a person of the opposite sex then it must be true. To h*ll with science! It’s all about how people feeeeeeeel.....

What would stop this would be forced refunds by the employing institutions/organizations or companies back to the government if work can’t be reproduced. If said organizations/individuals refuse to cooperate on reproducibility then paper is black listed and no more grants.

Science is all about independent reproducibility, if others can’t independently verify it then its likely nonsense. The “global warmer scammers “ were/are a completely self-licking ice cream cone. Many of the journals giving it credence was controlled by the same people doing the work, often they were reviewing each others or their students work. They fought “outside review” tooth & claw for a long time, environmentalist western governments refused to force the issue! Why would they, the “research” was arguing for greater government power over their respective societies!

There was a Swedish girl who did a funny video. When this maybe 20 year old petite blonde identified as a man, people supported her, endorsed her, agreed, yeah, sure. When she identified as Japanese, they disagreed, no, you don’t have the face, the eyes, the culture. Then she asked - but you just said I could be a man, and I don’t have that body?
I don’t think the attempts to explain the cognitive dissonance translate well, but the sputtering or silence was obvious.

Thanks for the excellent essay.

“Social scientists are already regarded in Washington as an arm of the Democratic Party, so their research is dismissed as partisan even when it’s not, and some Republicans have tried (unsuccessfully) to cut off all social-science funding. The physical sciences still enjoy bipartisan support, but that’s being eroded by the green politicking, and climate scientists’ standing will plummet if the proclaimed consensus turns out to be wrong.”

Sad but true. Getting a sociology or journalism degree is waste of time, since both are basically degrees in grant writing. Likewise, getting a degree in psychology and physics will become equally suspicious, since psychology students must promote the myth of the goodness of same sex attraction and physics majors must promote the myths of oil as fossil fuels and the planet as damaged by man.

Science brings certitude and peace. It feels good to know that psychology has the power to heal the trauma’s of people that suffer from addictions, such as gambling and same sex attraction. And physics has the power to show that oil is a renewable substance (gas should be 50 cents a gallon) and the atmosphere can handle one serious volcanic eruption every ten years which minimizes all the pollution from man ever.

The Lord has plenty of water, clean air and oil for seven billion people and there’s enough for fifteen billion.

Paul Erhlich and Rachel Carson are sophists and good product promoters, like Martin Luther and Joseph Smith.

Environmentalism is the new Lysenkoism, the scientific theory held up by the elites to justify their political theology and actions.
For the planet is even better than “for the children”, since children may grow up and voice other ideas while the planet only speaks through its appointed representatives. And it is an excuse for global totalitarianism vs one’s community’s children.

The problem is that the liberals so dominate most disciplines that they actively discriminate AGAINST conservatives in hiring, admission to programs, etc.

Survey shocker: Liberal profs admit they’d discriminate against conservatives in hiring, advancement

We’ve seen the liberals push acceptance of their ideology as a requirement for employment, from “dispositions” tests for teachers that weed out anyone not a flaming liberal, requiring psychologists to agree that reparation therapy is bad and transgenders should be given surgery, akin to saying medical students have to practice performing abortions to get their licenses.
In some states, it is a direct assault by refusing to recognize credentials of students from religious universities (who are thus likely conservative) or refusing to admit them into internships and residencies so they can’t get credentials.

There is a reproducibility crisis in science in general, including life sciences.

What we need more at the moment is requiring ideological diversity in college graduate programs, doctoral programs, professorships. This helps combat the problem of social sciences putting out papers that all conservatives are crazy, as well as graduating psychologists who think this is gospel truth.

We also need legislation that says religious schools can’t be discriminated against when it comes to admissions to grad school, doctoral programs. Gordon College being told that because of its stance on homosexuality, your undergrads can’t get admitted to graduate programs or medical internships is only one such case.

“Scientific consensus” is such an extraordinarily bad term it is incredible.

You can have science.

You can have a consensus.

But the two together are simply an oxymoron.

Thank you for the excellent link to the book “Inside Graduate Admission.”

Sadly, power corrupts people in charge of admissions to top high schools, colleges, grad programs and adjunct positions. Without a humble and contrite heart focused on the Lord it is almost impossible to be fair when judging others as ‘qualified’ or ‘unqualified.’
