A prefecture in China’s far western Xinjiang region is requiring all vehicles to install satellite tracking systems as part of stepped-up measures against violent attacks.

Traffic police in Bayingolin Mongol Autonomous Prefecture announced the regulation on Sunday, shortly after thousands of heavily armed police paraded in the Xinjiang capital and ruling Communist Party officials vowed to ramp up their campaign against separatists and Islamic militants.

The vehicle-tracking program in Bayingolin will utilize China’s homegrown Beidou satellite system, launched in recent years to reduce China’s reliance on U.S.-based GPS providers for sensitive applications. Authorities said they will also track cars using RFID technology embedded in license plates. …

One thing the ChiComs know how to do is how to deal with muzzies.

They “deal with” Christians in a similar manner, though. Even though Christians don’t do what the Muslims do.

The DNC admires the ChiComs. Democrat Party have unabashedly and publicly bemoan the fact that America is not run like Red China.

Seems like a pointless gesture.

If you want to commit a terrorist act you simply cover your car’s satellite antenna with a bit of foil or unplug the antenna. Disable the satellite tracker in some way and you are off the radar.

If the government asks you why your tracker was off? My car was in the garage all day, my car broke down and the battery went dead. Or drive your car to the city, steal someone else’s car for the dirty deed and then drive back to your car.

You can’t stop terrorism this way.

Maybe they don’t want to stop the terrorism.

Even the EU is trying to implement a more extensive surveillance state under the pretext of stopping terrorism.

You have a point there.

They may be using the terrorism as an excuse to track the citizen at large.

It could be an effort to track the underground economy that is so rich in communist states.

Not really. The ChiComs destroy, shut down and imprison Christians. When it comes to muzzies they take just shot them. The ChiComs don't play.

BTW, my ex-wife's Aunt and Uncle have done several missionary trips to the PRC. It's really not that bad as long as you stay within the government parameters. But muzzies always stray too far.

“Even though Christians don’t do what the Muslims do.”

The state sees itself as the ultimate authority. Therefore, both Muslims and Christians who see Allah and God as the ultimate authority are a danger to the power of the state.

The Chinese government, recognizing the cultural superiority of the Christian west, is attempting to create its own Christianity where the government appoints the church leaders.
