What did I just read?

He was a what student?

Maybe an honor student in the SPED class. No smart kid would ever do something that retarded. (no offense to those with Trisomy 21)

Was he an honor student at Darwins Idiot Savantes?

Sounds like he was handicapped before and now he will hobble through life without a foot to stand on...

Wow. They’ve really lowered the bar for Honor Student status since my day.

The 17 year old male brain is———a 17 year old male brain.

It’s not really known for it’s good, common sense.

My guess is that he’s got very serious emotional problems or was high on drugs.

Honor Student, huh? I bet he could tell us if a northbound train leaving Atlanta runs over 2 legs at 1:00pm and it takes a mile and 3/4 to stop then the train was traveling how fast at the point of deleggification.

“It took the locomotive between half a mile and three quarters of a mile to stop after the accident.”

Accident hell. Looks like the moron did that ON PURPOSE!

"Trains can't stop quickly or swerve. The average freight train is about 1 to 1¼ miles in length (90 to 120 rail cars). When it's moving at 55 miles an hour, it can take a mile or more to stop after the locomotive engineer fully applies [emphases added] the emergency brake. An 8-car passenger train moving at 80 miles an hour needs about a mile to stop. …” —Minnesota Safety Council, TRAIN AND TRACK SAFETY: STOPPING DISTANCE.

Ohl’s parents have commented on why their son was on the tracks in the first place on Thursday afternoon.

But we decided not to tell you? WTF?

Back in the late 70's, there was a really strange plant engineer that worked for my manufacturing company in Detroit. He was one of those types who would every early morning patrol neighborhoods on garbage day and fill up his station wagon with junk.

Anyway, his son ultimately committed suicide by train by lying on a local railroad track.........

Several years later, his wife committed suicide via the same method............

To this day, I've always found those tragic deaths to be very suspicious...considering the fact that at that time our company offered optional dependent life insurance that was paid out in both cases.........

I’m betting this was a botched suicide. You don’t get run over by a freight train by accident. You have to really work at it.

He was a what student?

Didn't know you could be an "honor student" without taking Math or Science. It's obvious this "ute" didn't take either.

At least he lived to tell of it, though he'd be a shoo-in for the Darwin Award if he hadn't! (Tasteless, I know, but sometimes the truth ain't PC.)

I don't know what you read but I read:

Horror student...

Then I put on my glasses.

I was thinking something similar. Like if he wasn’t a smart kid nobody would care he lost his feet. Stupid article title but not surprising with the JourNOlists now a days.

Maybe that was the only option he had left to get a full ride academic scholarship. When he submits his life experiences essay for admission it will give him bonus points.

If they were suicidal they would

There is something missing in this story. He tells EMTs he wasn’t trying to hurt himself....that’s not a question that immediately comes to mind when you are trying to keep someone from bleeding out

He learned a lesson in the Law of Consequences of Your Actions.

The father starting a begging site the day afterward is disgusting.

Sorry kid, but you’ll be playing the sit-down bass now I guess. And don’t anyone dare call this a “tragedy”...

Graduation in Atlanta...

Darqueeze played high school football in Atlanta.

He was a great running back, but a really poor student. At graduation, he didn’t have enough credits.

But he was a great football star and the students held a rally and demanded the principal give him a diploma anyway.

They were so insistent that the principal agreed that if Darqueeze could answer one question correctly he would give him a diploma.

The one question test was held in the auditorium and all the students packed the place. It was standing room only.

The principal was on the stage and told him to come up. Diploma in hand, the principal said: “Darqueeze, if you can answer this one question correctly I’ll give you your diploma.”

“Darqueeze how much is three times seven?”

Darqueeze looked up at the ceiling and then down at his shoes, pondering the question.

The other students began chanting, “Graduate him anyway! Graduate him anyway!”

Then Darqueeze held up his hand and the auditorium became silent.
He said, “I think I know the answer.

Three times seven is twenty-one.”

A hush fell over the auditorium and then all the other students began to chant:

“Give him another chance! Give him another chance!
