Royal Caribbean’s newest vessel - Symphony of the Seas - will be the world’s largest cruise ship when it is delivered in April 2018, the cruise line confirmed today.

At 1,188 feet long and 215 feet wide, the new 16-deck ship will weigh 230,000 GT (gross tonnage), nearly 3,000 more than the current record holder, another Royal Caribbean ship, Harmony of the Seas.

That sounds like a nice cruise.

At what ports did you make stops?

The Disney Cruise Ships run along a submerged Track, just like the Jungle Cruise Boats at Disneyland.

No, really... #;^)

We have not paid nearly that much, but you certainly could. Also, we have gone about once every 15 years.

A gene to not get the Norovirus?

That is awesome, and a new one for me.

My adopted daughter just has the gene that prevents her from sitting quietly.

I have had a lot of experience at sea in sailboats trawlers and motor vessels of some tonnage

We used to see cruise ships on the horizon lit up like cities

We’d be tossed around wet and cold doing cockpit duty and think about how warm they were up there

And the food

I know people who live cruises

Older folks who like the easy touring and younger couples that enjoy booze

And I guess family cruises too

But I’ve never ever had a desire

I might have enjoyed an old Cunard run to Portsmouth

A dress for dinner sort of thing

T-Bone, you have to check it out. We had to for her pediatrician, who is a wonderful, natural oriented doctor. Because we didn’t know or share her genetics, she had us do 23andme.com on her. It is very interesting and now I want to do it for myself too.

I am new at this so I have not found the gene that prevents kids from sitting quietly, but I can see my daughter shares that one. Also, the listening the first time gene? Not here.

We stopped at Halifax and St. John, where the tide really does go up and down +20 ft. In fact, there’s a river nearby that reverses its course every time the tide changes and gives rise to a vicious, huge whirlpool at its mouth.

Not really wrong, just a different perspective. That keeps us all from showing up at the same place at the same time to do the same things.

Well, most of the time that works.

;-)
