The purpose of the whole Russian collusion witch-hunt is becoming apparent. Trump is a pragmatist and knows that Syria means nothing to us, but if he backs away, the Progs and Deep State can point to this as “payoff” to Russia for the election.
Deep State wants a real war or something close enough to create another Trillion in debt.

Russians hate two things. The idea that they are being threatened with invasion. They see that as existential and have a societal imperative to literally go nuclear on anyone who they think wants a land war.
The other is a think we blow off and don’t understand the depth of. A feeling of inferiority leading to a very low tolerance for direct and massive insult requiring back down. They do have a line, and will indeed shoot at you in the right time and place.
That time and place might not be EXACTLY where our MBA Generals think it is.

It’s becoming impossible to understand what is really something to be concerned about. Especially in the last 6 months.

If I were a member of the Armed Forces again, I would be much more comfortable with President Trump at the helm.

That is exactly what I was thinking also. These type of scenarios allow President Trump to distance himself from the lies and scandal that the socialists have tried so hard to prove in the media.
President Trump has a way of making it look as if he has lost, and then with seemingly minutes to spare, BAM, he wins again.
He has to be a very frustrating opponent.

When someone has to save face in front of power players and their own people, it’s not wise to try to humiliate them in public. Something unexpected will happen soon. Maybe all the Syrian planes will be replaced with Red Star Russian air force. Maybe we get denied flights to the space station.
Public insult of someone who must save face is a bad idea. And all for a bunch of Syrian rebels.

It could. Many of us expect Russia and Iran (Iran named specifically along with Libya) to attack Israel per Ezekiel 38. The Gog and Magog War.
The fact that Russia and Iran are both operating in Syria - with tangential engagement by Israel is interesting to say the least.
