The photo of the officers T-shirt was shared in the online post calling for his dismissal by the Law 4 Black Lives DC campaign. (Courtesy Law 4 Black Lives DC)
Law 4 Black Lives DC filed a complaint and posted an online petition demanding the officer be fired after they found a shirt he wore while allegedly on duty and in court offensive, racist and threatening.
I dont think someone should have a badge and a gun or the ability take someones life or arrest them if they may be harboring these kind of white nationalist viewpoints, said Eugene Puryear with Law 4 Black Lives DC.
The photo of the back of the officers shirt depicts the Grim Reaper with the D.C. flag behind it, carrying a gun. Above the figure is a banner reading Powershift with the O swapped out for what Law 4 Black Lives DC calls a sun cross, a well known and notorious white supremacist symbol adopted by the Ku Klux Klan.

Black Lives Matters is a “group” in name only since anyone seems able to create a “chapter” or support group using the BLM logo.
However, it would be very informative if all the BLM chapters, affiliates and “claim to belong” groups were listed, by state, and then run through a BLM official membership list (if it exists, which it should just because of their communications system to people/organizations around the country).
It would be interesting to see how many communists/Marxist/socialists groups belong as chapters or chapters with them as leaders (often self-proclaimed) such as Puryear in DC has.
Once a check has been run on the names of key leaders/individuals, etc., you will find a lot of self-proclaimed leaders (those who founded the BLM organization - 3 men and women), self-proclaimed chapter heads, and both affiliated and self-proclaimed affiliate groups/chapters, many of whom are communists of some type (You saw the WWP signs and their fronts signs, ANSWER, IAC, Peoples Power Assembly - Baltimore, run by WWP leader Sharon Black) at many local and national demonstrations.
The ties of WWP over the decades to No. Korea (they used to brag and write stories about their delegations to Pyongyang and the mentally ill Kims) would be legitimate grounds for an internal security investigation/hearing before Congress.
They also supported Qaddafi in Libya, as did Rev. Jeremiah Wright and a bunch of black Marxists and racists, in the late 1980’s. The WWP had a couple photos of these “delegates” back then.
Turn over the Marxist rock and out will crawl all kinds of cockroaches, red ants, stinkbugs, and traitors.

Do you think the CSA battle flag supports racism?
By the way, the tee shirt is based on the Sons of Anarchy TV series.

Yes it is...
I heard last week that BLM charges against 5 Black officers were brought up on the same charge for wearing a Black Power ‘Fist’ T shirt.
(YEAH, I know you DIDN’T see it...Neither did I)
“Typical chicken s$&@ response by todays cowering management types.”
Just last week the Police spokesperson, or the actual Chief, here in Knoxville made a similar statement when they had to remove the scripture, “If God be for us, who can be against us” from the police premises. She said something like, “We serve ALL the people” (implying not just Christians). I believe the Mayor jumped on board with the same type of staement.
Gave in to bullying by the atheists. Hard to see this happen in the Bible Belt.
That would be rough for an undercover cop.
And the SOA had plenty of racism...
Perhaps that's debatable, but it damn sure shouldn't displayed on a cop's shirt while he's on duty, or appearing at court representing his badge.
It could be considered overtly antagonistic to a segment of the community he serves, so it would be 100% inappropriate.
Off duty, he can wear what he wants, but he's still subject to the image he projects as a police officer who is supposed to serve the entire community in which he works.
Is that a dreaded Celtic Cross for the letter "O", or is it the crosshairs of a scope? And is this cop a plainclothes detective? You've fallen for the rhetoric of the BLM.
Side with the BLM if you wish, but their goal is not the easing of racism, but the fracturing of society. They cannot be allowed to be the arbiters of what is and is not allowed unless you like the idea of quashing free speech.
Looks like a club shirt...so there must be a bunch of other cops wearing the same (perhaps not to work, though). They’ll have to fire the whole lot of them, then. Unlikely.
It is your hysterical reaction at the beginning of this thread that is ridiculous, and it should be patently obvious that no police officer should wear politically or racially inflammatory T-shirts when on duty, or appearing in court as a police officer.
It's a no-brainer. So you side with racial animus if you wish. The fact remains you don't have a leg to stand on.
As I said, if this police officer wants to wear this shirt when off duty, he has every right to—but he still has to face the consequences, being someone who is tasked to protect and server the entire community, and not just white people.
The BLM are not the arbiters of what is and is not allowed. That's a false narrative. Standard department policy determines what is and is not allowed, and this officer was in clear violation of that. So get over it, and stop with your ridiculous "side with the BLM if you wish" crap.
If BLM happens to believe the earth is round and revolves around the sun, that doesn't mean I'm going to go around arguing that the earth is flat, simply because it's the opposite of what the BLM says...
Maybe Newsham would like it better in pink?
Patently obvious? Why, because you say it is patently obvious? Sounds like the Global Warming argument.
What constitutes a "racially inflammatory" tee shirt. Who are the arbiters? You? BLM? A majority vote?
Would Gadsden Flag be Racially inflammatory?
Was it ever confirmed that he was on duty? It makes a difference to me.
Agreed.
I'm sure that be just fine.
The arbiters are the officer's superiors in the department, and—in case you haven't noticed—his chief has clearly spoken out as to this officer's violation of policy. The officer was wrong, and I fully agree with his "non-contact" assignment. Period.
The Police Chief only spoke up after the BLM complaint.
Yes, and his comment was very telling:
This is disgraceful and does not represent the hard working and committed officers of the Seventh District.
It was disgraceful, and it matters not a whit who pointed the issue out in the first place. The overwhelming majority of reasonable people would agree with the police chief. Indeed, I have no doubt that many other people could have pointed out the same thing—including people who despise BLM...
That statement is without evidence.
