Tawana Brawley is found covered with feces and wrapped in garbage bags outside the Pavilion Condominiums in Wappingers Falls, New York. Brawley appeared to have undergone an extremely traumatic experience: parts of her hair were cut off, her pants were slightly burned, and there was a racial slur scrawled on her body. Brawley told authorities that for four days she had been held against her will and repeatedly raped by a gang of white men, one of whom she claimed had a police badge.
The Brawley case became a ’cause celebre’ when controversial attorney C. Vernon Mason, Alton Maddox, and community activist Al Sharpton declared their support for Brawley

The likes of #BLM have taken over Sharpton’s clown show for gullible black people, but have given it a much more sinister edge.
Does not Sharpton believe to this day that she was telling the truth despite proof that she was lying?

Brawley was starting to pay hers. No apology from Sharpton of course.
Unfortunately, Brawley’s story did not hold up to the close scrutiny that followed.
Why is this unfortunate?
If her story had been true, this girl would have been subjected to horrific abuse, there would be a gang of men on the loose, and the local police would have been involved and compromised.
That would have been quite unfortunate.
As it is, her story was revealed as a hoax, which only means that a foolish young person fabricated a story, and that nobody had been abused, no gang of men was on the loose, and the local police were not corrupt.
This sounds like the best possible, and fortunate, possible resolution of this story.
Sharpton claims that many people in his community believe she told the truth. I think he knows she was lying but he won’t admit that publicly.
An article last week about a fake hate crime of campus still hurt.
It was a selfinflicted wound. And I’m supposed to care about hateful bigots who stage such stunts to stir up race hatred against white people?
