So any Amber Alert (if issued) was canceled when they declared her a runaway, if I understand the latest news articles.
But she is listed in the Missing Kids database.
Is this the party of the first part?
When I was a kid, I used to imitate her pretty good, and would make prank calls. Wrinkle my nose and laugh through it and stick my finger in my blouse.
In my experience, almost all of the Amber alerts on our electronic marquee are Mexicans involved in custody disputes, and not true kidnappings of children.
It’s as if the marquee was installed specifically to deal with Mexicans and their hijinks.
Good point. Yes, they are usually Mexicans stealing children from women who have the audacity to “rock the boat” of Mexican male culture.
But most do seem to emanate from the same area.
The Life 360 app is a godsend.
And what’s the deal with “Silver Alerts”?
I think old people are like zombies and malls, because all Silver Alerts originate many, many miles from Houston, but apparently every old dude between Junction and Dime Box heads for my city.
We get a laugh whenever we see one and the town is someplace like Wichita Falls or Alpine (which are hundreds of miles away).
I sense that the marquee dude is trying to justify his existence.
“probably used a cell phone instead of a computer.”
Basic flip phones still are available. Perfect for calling and texting which is all kids need as far as I can tell.
“This is why my kids were not allowed to have a computer in their room.”
Nice...same with phones, I assume. I was certainly that way, and the results show for it. I can see NO REASON why a kid needs anything more than a cheap cell phone, and then only on occasions.
And AT&T is not the only carrier in the world.
“And whats the deal with Silver Alerts?”
One of my best friends ended up on a Silver Alert! We found her safe but it was scary. She developed dementia and was trying to drive back to her home state and got lost. Now she lives with one of her daughters. Just sad. Thank God for these “alerts” it helps find a loved one.
It’s not but if they are phasing them out so goes the rest.
Is there any news about this girl?
