It’s the cultural mass guilt for being a European colonial power! There you get to play the race cad, the colonizer card, the religious bigot card, the imperial oppressor card. There are probably other cards available to play to psychologically intimidate any white opponent, neuter any western and/or local tradition, custom or law.
I guess we’re lucky we have only the race card.
Well, Wallis Simpson was fairly trashy for her time and of course the Queen had nothing to do with that. I think she sympathized with her sister but her advisors forbade the marriage. Of course Margaret could have given up her title, but she wouldn’t. She had a miserable life as it turned out.
WHY was there an interview starring these two? I’ve asked but no answers.

Guess they skipped their lavish 3 week Hawaii vacay this year as we weren’t paying for it. He’s probably laying low since his dirty deeds have surfaced about Hezbollah. Also, it seems to be getting pretty close that Obama, a sitting president, spied on an American citizen and candidate for no reason at all. He’s a dirty little bastard.
As usual, I don't remember much about it except an overall impression. Margaret called her sister Lilibet. They had a very formal and structured upbringing. Overall, it wasn't a life I would have wanted and even less so now.
I guess one doesn't want to try to embed an amazon picture, miles of coding. Found an easier one. This was the exact one. 1940's. Was pretty young when I read it then.
