I pretty much agree. The overwhelming amount of nudity and sex could be eliminated and the plot would not be affected. I told someone I thought that it seems like sex scenes are written by men with the mentality of an 8 year old boy who just saw his first Playboy magazine.
I have to agree. The same came be said about the use of all the gratuitous violence.
I'm far from a prude but I have to agree. In a world where the hardest-core porn is only a mouse click away, most of the bland, vanilla love scenes in Hollywood movies are gratuitous, completely unnecessary, and often distract from the tempo of the film. They're actually something of a throwback to the pre-internet era when T&A in an 'R'-rated movie was the closest thing to sex that most people had the opportunity to view. Today, they're pointless.
When I want to see nudity and sex, I'll view porn.

The original Terminator, where Reese gets busy with Sarah Connor. Had to be there to explain John Connor and Reese, etc. Important plot point.
Team America: World Police would not have been the same without the sex scene.
See? I have no problem with lovers hooking up in a film but we don’t have to see it. The characters probably go to the bathroom too but I feel I can stipulate to it without needing to see every swipe of the tp.
I agree. Only poor filmmakers need explicit nudity and/or sexual scenes.
