If there is, as 2 Thessalonians indicates there might be, then it makes sense. 1) Why put the faithful through a further trial? and 2) Give the devil a fair chance - wipe Earth of faith in Salvation through Christ, and yet still God will prevail.
If there isn’t, then there’s going to be pain, and then we get to die, or we make it through to the end and witness the Glorious Return.
I’m not sure it makes a difference from the standpoint that God’s got a plan for you, and that’s the way it is. If you are needed, you’re probably going to stay.
I don’t have to like the plan. I just have to do it. And since I’m me, I’ll do it badly, but good enough with God’s help.

Some truth to that. Rap music actually began as a genre in the late 70’s.
Ever watch ‘Are you being served’? Britcom from the early 70’s.
It’s said their theme song was an early rap song.

Creating an entire doctrinal concept based totally on one line of scripture is seldom a good idea.
I know of lots of Christians who threw away their futures back in the ‘70s as they were convinced it was all going to end in 20 years.
Now, 40 years later, they are all broke with no retirement saved and no chance of ever getting ahead.
That's because GOD didn't state an exact day. Given that calendar usage has varied over time, it would be useless to state a 'date'.
What GOD did was set A CONDITION. That condition was when 'man' allowed 'evil' to dominate his soul/mind. When more men are 'evil' than 'good', then the end will come. God won't have to lift a finger to help. We'll do it to ourselves.
The Bible is all about explaining how to keep evil from conquering your soul. Our nation is in the process of throwing out the Bible. These are 'the signs'.
I’m definitely not on board with this theory, but I take exception to the trend in the media these days that any geopolitical theory I don’t agree with is a “conspiracy theory.”
So far to date, all of these EOW predictions have been wrong. The fact of the matter is that if they were right, we would never know it.

I disagree. I think the 'precondition' was that we determine WHEN the end of the world occurs. When enough men allow evil to dominate their soul, we will end the world, as it is.
Correction, it's been around since around 30 AD when Jesus said, "That is how it will be at the coming of the Son of Man. Two men will be in the field; one will be taken and the other left. Two women will be grinding with a hand mill; one will be taken and the other left" (Matt 24:39-41).
Or a little later when Paul wrote, "For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord" (1 Thess 4:16-17).
