Too Many Men [India/China Gender Imbalance]
Washington Post ^ | April 18, 2018 | Simon Denyer and Annie Gowen

cultural preferences, government decree and modern medical technology in the world’s two largest countries has created a gender imbalance on a continental scale. Men outnumber women by 70 million in China and India.

The consequences of having too many men, now coming of age, are far-reaching: Beyond an epidemic of loneliness, the imbalance distorts labor markets, drives up savings rates in China and drives down consumption, artificially inflates certain property values, and parallels increases in violent crime, trafficking or prostitution in a growing number of locations.

The proportion might not be that great, but the raw number is. It’s probably about 40 million in China vs 30 million in India, because of China’s One Child, fewer girls get born overall, whereas in India girls have a slightly higher chance of being born and surviving, since parents can try again.

So while the percentage of extraneous men in each country isn’t that big, it’s still a lot of people. Add in that the imbalance (as noted in the article) allows women to marry up, and you end up with a bunch of lower-class men, mostly uneducated, who now have no prospects. That in turn magnifies the problems of violent crime etc, which go up anyway but will go up even more due to the demographics of the superfluous population.

India is at least trying to address this, with their Save the Girl Child campaign. That will help down the road, but won’t do anything for the men already in the population.

I hope that, as a result of immigration, their imbalance does not become our imbalance.

Yes, and are our open borders, one worlder sorts stupid enough to offer refugee status to men from China and India who can't find a mate?

The Chinese girl babies with US passports will be worth a fortune. Plus the Indian girls.

How many of the Chinese women who come to California for the purpose of giving birth have returned to China with an infant US Citizen? They will be returning at some time to claim all the rights of citizenship.

Congress, do something about so-called birthright citizenship.

Through the grapevine we know of a number of chinese wives that have left their husbands and moved to America.

Also read an article lately of Thailand and other Asian women moving to Taiwan that have HIV and other fun diseases. For 1800NT they will make you happy and give you something to remember them by.
