Alinsky tactics work. We need to use them even more.
I worked on political campaigns back in the days when I had a full head of hair.
Problems with polls include:
—Bias of pollsters
—Incompetence of pollsters
—Low name recognition challengers means that the numbers could radically change as their name recognition improves (better or worse)
—Pollsters are horrible at determining turnout—People will claim they will vote when she ultimately decide not to vote for any of a million reasons, particularly in primaries.
—Challenge of contacting actual voters (fewer land lines, people are busy, many people hate pollsters and won’t talk to them)
Crystal balls are much more reliable—and cheaper!
