IMHO...it’s now time to for Americans voters to take these folks out of their misery and politically destroy the entire Democrat Party. What say you...folks?

It’s quite likely that Crowley’s internal polling was the only polling that existed. Media polls rarely go down the the level of an individual house race, much less a primary for one. Ocasio-Cortez may have had polling but as a 28 year old political neophyte, with likely a poorly funded campaign, maybe not.
She’s certainly a lock in the general. One house seat probably ought to be kept in perspective though.

IF I were a US Attorney, I would quietly start an investigation of this election. This looks like voter fraud in a BIG way.

Actually “Real Clear Politics” (Web Site) does an outstanding job of covering POTUS, Senate & House races during all national elections. I was surprised that I could not locate their polling on the Crowley NY14thCD race.
You are absolutely correct. The Average “House” seat CD has between 800,000-1,000,000 people in their districts. This race (NY14CD) was pathetic relative voter turn out. Only about 25,OOO voters voted in this election.
Actually the Democrat voter turn out has been dismal to say the least across the board. Millions of Democrat White, African-American, Hispanic, Asian, Indian voters are abandoning the Democrat Party, switching to Republican or Independent voter registration.
All you had to do to confirm this fact of life, is check out the demographics on the folks that marched yesterday. You will discover that very few Black Americans & Hispanics and other minorities that are USA citizens marched. The only Hispanics that marched are the Illegal immigrant lovers..period. The Democrat Party is slowly dying...politically. No leaders, no agendas, no voters!!! Game Over!!!

Major indictment of current methods of “polling.” We’ve seen the accuracy of these “polls” eroding more & more over time. This is a 51% point swing between pre-election projection & results. That’s huge. My take away - modern polling methods are garbage and not to be believed.

I see a very Obama-esque adoration society forming here for an attractive minority, a woman, and a socialist. Although. I see her as being so radical, so outrageous, and so over-promoted by an eager press that she may crash and burn (freshman congress critters don’t wield much power). She may be impatient for instant success and flame out in the orbit of the dark star Pelosi.
I’m interested in your research and in reliability of polls. I’ve dug into the surveys many a time to find that framing of questions is often used when you see startling results. Thanks for starting an interesting thread.
I do not believe one poll, because none of them have any accuracy whatsoever. They are all weighted one way or another. The American people never get good poll advice these days from “political driven pollsters”.
I suspect it was an internal poll, since his renomination was never in doubt (LOL). Cantor had the same poll. The problem with those polls is that they lull the incumbent to sleep and if the base is fired up and fed up, and the right candidate shows up, one that can get her people out to vote, as in this case, the poll is meaningless.

Actually Trump does that quite well, and that’s why his 40% of the country is TOTALLY locked-in with him, to the ABJECT ANGER of the media. Don’t worry, most are retiring this year. But it is still very hard to unseat these people if they take their home-district responsibilities seriously, which this clown clearly did not. But yes, I agree, if the district is safe red, then kill off the RINOs (figuratively, of course), if it’s a close district, then be careful what we wish for.

I doubt it was fraud, much more likely complacency. The Crowley character didn’t take her seriously (Rule #1 for ANY incumbent is to take your opponents seriously, particularly if it’s a very low turnout election).
But that’s not the problem for the Democrats, the problem is what happened after. THE MEDIA BLEW IT. They should put this story on Page 17, in two small paragraphs saying something like:
“...and in New York’s 15th District, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez defeated incumbent Joe Crowley and will go on to face Art Schlemeck (or whoever the token Republican is) in November, a somewhat expected result in this highly Latino district.”
And BE DONE WITH IT, no interviews no more stories, nothing. Instead they literally made her the LEADER of the Democrats by putting her front-and-center, and now other Democrats, the BIG NAMES are forced to follow her, agreeing to kill off ICE, for starters.
It seems the media was just as unprepared for her as Crowley and now it’s too late to stuff the genie back in the bottle.
