In other stories it wasn’t about him being killed because of his conviction but that he made a rude remark or something to his killer; but OTOH .....I love happy endings.
Question:
Why do prisoners of most vile backgrounds do this to child molesters? I approve of their actions but am confused about their psychology? Perhaps it is their last vestige of morality?

I’d like to see the nature of the evidence before I comment. It just seems kind of odd that a 66 year-old guy would do this for the first time at his age.
After working in corrections for 23 years, I can tell you there’s an element of being powerless to protect your family. The molester represents your worst fears about what might befall your family during your absence. This is compounded by your own guilt for having caused your absence.
Disturbingly, there’s a high occurrence of the “who smelt it, dealt it” phenomenon. Inmates who attack molesters go on to become or are later revealed to be molesters themselves. It’s the same survival tactic employed by liberals to mask their bad behavior. Ain’t nuthin’ simple ‘bout humans.

The mindset among the male prisoners is that the victim could have been their mother, daughter, or sister. Therefore, they will often kill or injure the child molester.
I have not seen this type of behaviour among the female inmates. They may be in for running a child prostitution ring, incest, or child abuse, and nothing happens to them.
Beats the heck out of why the difference.
One thing I love about Free Republic is seeing a headline that tells the entire story, short of the minor details like names.
As a long-time newspaperman, I know “headlines are the poetry of news writing” but you shouldn’t give away the whole story or nobody will want to read it. But I still love a good header!
