Berlin’s ruins still smoldered as three Soviet military intelligence officers questioned a tall, lithe blonde in 1945. A Red Army lieutenant, the group’s translator, opened the burgundy satin cover of a cheap jewelry box and showed her its contents.
Nestled inside were charred human teeth, gold dental crowns and a complete lower jaw.
“I took the dental bridge in my hand,” Käthe Heusermann wrote decades later. “I looked for an unmistakable sign. I found it immediately, took a deep breath and blurted out, ‘These are the teeth of Adolf Hitler.’ I was showered with expressions of gratitude.”
Within weeks, Heusermann was in solitary confinement in a notorious Moscow prison — her reward for telling Josef Stalin an irksome truth.
When Berlin fell on May 2, 1945, front-line Allied troops were desperate to find Hitler. Years of fighting Nazis convinced them that nothing less than Hitler’s death would vanquish the Third Reich.
The Führer had spent the war’s final weeks in a fortified bunker beneath the Reich Chancellery building. Interpreter Elena Rzhevskaya, then 25, helped comb through the warren of underground rooms, interrogating survivors and seeking clues to his fate.
Rzhevskaya’s “Memoirs of a Wartime Interpreter” (Greenhill Books), out now for the first time in English, tells their detective story.
Medical examiners suspected that a burned corpse found in the chancellery’s enclosed courtyard — so damaged that it could not be positively identified — was Hitler’s. The irony is the dental assistant who worked for Hitler's dentist was using her ration allotment to help a Jewish friend in hiding. And despite that great risk to herself for an act of humanity, she was put into solitary confinement by Stalin for six years, and then transferred to a Siberian gulag. A sad story.
I watched 'In Search of Hitler'. The ID was fake. He escaped by: Taking an underground to Templehof airport, following a secret passage way, then a midnight plane to Spain, then a U-Boat to Madera, then another U-boat to Brazil, where he hung out at cozy little chalet. He then shaved his moustache and hair and viola! He blended in with all the other former Nazi's at the local Hof Brau Haus.
Be very careful if you witness something which politicians don’t want known. Consider what happened to the witnesses in Dallas...

Search of Hitler makes a good case he was able to escape and Russia still hides any evidence he died in the bunker.
Stalin was as evil as Hitler.
This illustrates the mindset of the Left which refuses to accept the truth and, because of that, the failure of their tin pot dynasty.
If you’re referring to History Channel’s series, I agree. They presented almost irrefutable and clear evidence of Hitler escaping to South America.
The History Channel’s “Finding Hitler” series is the most convoluted, innuendo laden and making leaps to conclusions that are greater than any long jumper in history. I closely watched the first year and was appalled by how they made the connections they wanted to make to ensure that they could get an audience. I didn’t waste my time on season 2. I’ve spent my career as a military officer and a military historian, specializing in WWII and the Soviet Military.

Our intelligence agencies knew Hitler escaped, as they rushed to bring in as many Nazi scientists and intelligence agents as they could. Basically, our Nazis vs Soviet Nazis are the guys who drove the space race and designs for missiles and fighters.

Google can't seem to find any show from the History Channel called "In Search of Hitler". They did apparently have a show called "Hunting Hitler".

About Stalin’s motive.
A wacky proposal.
I think it possible Stalin’s motive was nothing but Stalin, by which I mean he was both paranoid and crazy, recognized that he and Hitler (whom he’d admired at one point) were as ruthless strongmen two of a kind and if Hitler could really die then maybe so too could Stalin.
Maybe Stalin simply needed to believe Hitler survived.
A million ordinary Germans dying or ten million ordinary Soviets dying meant nothing, they were all things to be cast aside (and they were cast aside) and not important like Stalin doubtless saw himself. The only thing separating Der Wanker muttering about how the Geman people didn’t deserve him and they should all suffer when he’s gone and Stalin doing the same in some Russian stronghold really just comes down to a bit of bad winter weather.
If only Geraldo had known about that sort of documentary he could have got a whole season out or Capone’s vault.
Also, it’s the Hisory Channel ... did you really expect it to be about history?
