At the point this becomes a widespread reality, $500 won’t even buy you a loaf of bread.

Yes. We have to make other areas extremely inhospitable to them.

Dammit! Will you all just quit treating Chicago and Illinois as the same entity! Most Illinois residents are hard working conservatives who consider Chicago a malignant tumor on the state. On the 24th of this month I will be one year from retirement and my ass and assets will be out of here and will no longer supporting that liberal clusterfluck.

The recipients will eventually be asked to do something for the city. It’s no different than a mob boss helping out someone who in the future will be required to return the favor.

This is stupidity worthy of Maxine Waters. That is monumental indeed. Where would this money come from? What possible incentive would exist for those feeding off this extravagant government teat to even move their shiftless bodies to care for themselves? And what guarantees would exist to make sure the $500 would not end up at the nearest liquor store, bookie, or drug dealer?

So glad you are so near to making the Great Escape from IL. I escaped from IL (from a western suburb of Chicago, Downers Grove) about 9 months ago to New Port Richey in FL, and it was best move I ever made. Warm, balmy right now; beautiful foliage and blooming flowers, right near the Gulf (my condo association is located on canals leading into the Gulf), wonderful tropical birds. The water is warm; jump in!

Complete and total a$$holes. You know this is intended as a way of taking money from Whitey and giving it to non-Whitey, no strings attached.

Here we go a-f*cking-again! You cannot test a UNIVERSAL handout by giving money to 1000 families. UNIVERSAL = ALL, not + 1000!!!!!

Of course the "test" will be a success. Obviously the people who receive money will declare it a good idea. Media will have stories of fat mothers of 5 kids feeding them sandwiches instead of dog food. You will see interviews with people who declare that they can now pay the electric bill.

The impact of this "test" will be minimal. It will not affect the budget. But just wait until it is expanded to ALL, as the word UNIVERSAL implies. It will impact taxes, and the fools who continue to work will be paying for it royally.

Chicago will run out of money and demand money from Illinois, meaning that the whole state (Whitey) will be taxed, as was the original intention.

I'll skip the diatribe about the inflationary aspect.

What are they really doing? Implementing communism. Take from the earners, and give to the slackers.

500 bucks plus a debit card for food, subsidized housing, earned income tax credit (so they don’t pay taxes, instead get money from the feds), what’s not to like — and with open borders they could have a permanent majority.

Time to ask, who is John Galt?

Forced sterilization of those on welfare would solve Chicagos’ problems, but the politicians would be against it.....

FTA: “Nearly 70 percent of Americans don’t have $1,000 in the bank for an emergency,” Pawar told the outlet.

That is because politicians steal all our money.

UBI could be an incredible benefit for people who are WORKING and are having a tough time making ends meet or putting food on the table at the end of the month.”
I don’t condone this but the article
does say those who are working. But to
get an extra $500 a month, there’s sure
to be those who will learn to game the
system. Filing taxes as married, filing
separately, might open the door.
The seeds to socialism will have been
planted, which is their goal.
