these updated RIAA album totals evidently reflect USA sales, downloads and streaming only, so international numbers aren’t included. All time Global Album sales numbers and chart positions haven’t changed much this decade, and PF’s superb ‘Dark Side’ remains solidly among an elite class of individual albums that have sold 40 to 50 million units.

Others include:
Fleetwood Mac ‘Rumors’
AC/DC ‘Back In Black’
Bee Gees ‘Saturday Night Fever’ OST
Whitney Houston ‘The Bodyguard’ OST

Garth Brooks? Really?!?!?!

That guy is single-handedly responsible for the wussification of Country Music.

You need to read about Don Henley.

Or were you being sarcastic?

Visited the "Standin' On the Corner" Park a few years ago. My kids didn't understand it one iota...lol.

A couple blocks from there is a great little restaurant with superb Mexican food. It received a credit in the first "Cars" movie.

I just love everything about Route 66.

Nobody can top them in the 20th century. They had the all time best albums sells. This might have something to do with the 4hr History of The Eagles on Netflix.Another generation of fans.

Think of the competition in the 20th century.

They had Thriller beat with the most albums sold in the whole of the 20th century. Did you know that? It’s in their bio on Netflix.

The three guitars at the beginning are another great Eagles song.

Led Zeppelin
Black Sabbath
Judas Priest
Rolling Stones
The Who

And those are just the British bands that were better.

J Giles
Lynerd Skynerd
Fleetwood Mac
Frank Zappa
Allman Brothers

All were producing quality albums during the period that will stand the test of time.

And not make people puke.

I knew about Don Felder teaching Tom Petty how to play guitar, but had no idea about Leadons brother in Mudcrutch.

I have been a lifelong fan of Petty and the Eagles.

Talk about poets of American life....

That must feel good to him, not surrounded by people who constantly try to hitch themselves to his star.

He said in the bio that his wife has MS.

This “my bands better than your band’ is juvenile nonsense. If you have to win this argument, I feel sorry for you. Besides, its all fading away into time.
