Retroactive thoughtcrime one generation removed.
Bizarre.
To clarify -
Bob Lamey makes private discussion about somebody using the N-word in an interview he made in the 80s in a non-racist context and is forced to retire. But nobody makes it public - he just retires suddenly.
Local news stations figure out he used the n-word in a story.
Colts condemn Bob Lamey.
WishTV says the interview was with Derek Daly (back in the 80s) and they condemn Derek Daly and fire him.
Derek Daly responds he said the word in an interview back in the 80s but never meant it as a slur and, as a new immigrant at the time, didnt realize its loaded connotation. He also denies that the interview was with Bob Lamey. WishTV doesnt care.
If you take my meaning.

Ans every black who has said wmf should be treated the same. And these rappers.....half belong in jail...
Are we sure that Col. E.J. Lilly of Indiana NEVER used an inappropriate term towards anyone regarding their race, gender or sexuality?? Do they REALLY want to engage in this stupid game of backdating political correctness from decades ago by forefathers of a bygone era??
I just went to my medicine cabinet and I have no meds made by Lilly but, if I did, I would consider switching. This level of postdating witchhunts is appalling.
Could have been the N word but it’s very possible it was the word spade. It didn’t become derogatory in the UK until the mid to late 80s. I only know this because it was used in the song “All The Way From Memphis” ( 1973 ) by Mott the Hoople.
In the song the word spade was used to describe a bus porter. It just fell into disuse here at the time as among other things, Archie Bunker was using it. Took the UK a while to catch up.

I'm not having much luck with this Twitter stuff so I'll apologize now.
Good grief, that’s just BEYOND STUPID.
I’ll bet the tv station dug this whole deal up for ratings and website hits...

And it was not him but his DAD??!!
This is a decision of a major corporation that operates across national borders.
PC is the policy of a “privately owned business” so PC is their right, that’s what we are told.
Absurd.
30 years ago. Not the same person. But it doesn’t matter! White Guilt is inherited through the genes. You have White Guilt even if you didn’t inherit it - White Guilt leaps from one White person to another.
Disgusted at the groveling attempt to apologize. When are you going to realize that all of your mea culpas are to no avail? You can bow down in abject submission, but it does no good. It just encourages them to keep beating you some more.
Just because you drive a black car doesnt mean your ancestors can just say NIGGER when ever they want!
ESPECIALLY OVER 30 YEARS AGO !!

Very well stated and must be repeated until we can repeat it from memory.
