Unlike several people around me who became very ill for days, I did get the flu shot last year. I did feel ill, but not very, and for less than 12 hours. I scheduled an appointment for the doctor that evening, but went in anyway even though I felt fine that next morning. I tested positive for influenza "A" even though my symptoms had been very light.

So yes, even though the vaccine might not protect you from the flu, it can still prevent you from becoming really ill.

I am more interested in what they DON’T want me to know about their vaccine.

guys the CDC is not a deep state actor. The stats back them up, and lives are at stake. Our pediatrician is incredibly bright (former Air Force doc) - 30+ years experience, and he says the stats indicate that the flu vaccine saves tens of thousands of lives each year. Last year the guy I went to the prom with lost his nephew, age 24, fit guy who was a soldier, to the flu.

It was just heartbreaking.

Some 90% of the flu deaths are people who did NOT get a vaccination.

Just do it - it could save your life.

Get the shot, wipe off the grocery cart handle, walk the other way if someone sneezes, and, by all means, STAY AWAY FROM AUSTRALIANS!

Remember last year’s deadly flu season? Well, there’s some good news this year
https://www.kansascity.com/living/health-fitness/article218988005.html

This year, things have been much more mild Down Under, according to a report released last month by AARP that quoted national and international health experts. “It’s quite a contrast from last year, when we had a very severe flu season, with H3N2 predominating”

I’m 62 years old and just retired, I decided since I was not going to be around a lot of people I would skip the flu shot, big mistake, got the flu in Dec thought I was over it then it went into pneumonia 6 months later I was in the hospital. I blamed my wife who is a school nurse for bringing the disease home. I was first in line for the flu shot and pneumonia shot this year..tru up

The CDC is a subsidiary of the pharmaceutical industry. The agency owns more than 20 vaccine patents and purchases and sells $4.1 billion in vaccines annually. It’s a great business model, considering US taxpayers pay to advertise their products & mandate their use.

I gotten the “real” flu ONE time. Was given both inhaled and injected steroids for the lungs and antibiotics for the strep throat that followed. Missed 10 days of work behind that crap! I’ve gotten a flu shot every year since.

I’ll pass. Got the flu shot once and it made me sick for weeks. The left side of my sinuses have never been the same either.

Different strokes for different folks.

It’s just like side affects for the different prescription drugs. Some people get them, some don’t.

This side affect tops them imho. “May cause anal leakage”

Quick break from babysitting grandkids ~ IIRC last year’s vax killed people. No thanks. Never have. Never will. Complete lack of trust in CDC and vaccines.

Full disclosure: I am a public school teacher, and I have never had a flu shot. I have taught for 36 years, and I have had the flu three times. I just had the flu a couple weeks ago, and missed one day of work. The fever was the worst symptom. Other symptoms persisted around seven days. I have a healthy immune system, so I don’t want to mess around with a government vaccine.

Let’s poke a healthy immune system over and over for no good reason and wonder why auto-immune disorders are rising....

I skipped last year and had another season where I got a cold but wasn't constantly sick with some bug, as usually happens when I do get the shot.

Last years shot was so ineffective that i doubt it had much impact except to make a lot of those who died feel safer......
