Yes it’s flattering and appeals to the ego, but realistically, most people are not the “throw themselves ar” category.
And for someone who is genuinely hot, I would either think they were only after the sex, or if it was someone hot after me, my money.
I’ve had enough experience with people to know have learned not to trust anyone I haven’t known through thick and thin for years.

My mother used to tell me over and over, “It cannot be given away if there is no one to take it.” I must have been really, really dense as a teenager because I was an adult before I understood fully what she was saying. LOL And, yes, despite marrying young I was REALLY dense.
I asked my beloved once what would he do if approached, assuming we were not married. LOL He looked at me like I was nuts and replied, “Run like hell in the opposite direction.” The man was drop dead serious. We’re going to hit 30+years so I’m going to keep him around for a few more decades, the Lord willing... I was really stunned at how fast he came back with that reply, though.
