Hard to believe Stevie Nicks wasn't inducted long ago. I nearly crossed paths with her a few years ago at the (then) Bethesda Naval Medical Center, towards the end of the Iraq war. She was in there visiting injured Marines in their rooms, and giving out CD players and CDs, paid for out of her own pocket. Awesome lady and amazing performer.

to be clear The R&R HOF actually is supposed to represent not just one niche, or musical genre but all Popular music largely since the Rock Era in American music began (generally around the mid to late 1950’s). Many exceptions to the rules have been allowed, and rightfully, toward great American artists that influenced modern pop/rock music that never got the same access of their music that the norm now.

100% agreement. Love Prine. They are missapropriating him for their own glorification.

Once again, ‘Uncle Ted’ Nugent has been skipped. So, I don’t give two sh!ts about the RRHOF.

MC5 & Rage in the same class. They need a special asbestos wing in the HOF with a Molotov cocktail concession stand. MC5 was commie-revolution rocker that shouted at the most ear splitting, loudest and most distorted decibels possible.Fred Sonic Smith and Wayne Kramer Guitar and Rob Tyner Vocal. I’ll bet they were a big influence on bands like Rage.
That being said I still occasionally like cranking up Kick Out The Jams. Edited on radio, unedited at home.

Prine could make The Blues sound like The Partridge Family.

Until The Guess Who are in the place is a a joke. ‘69 through ‘72 absolutely smoked live. Don’t even think they’ve been nominated.

Didn’t Rundgren produce Meatloaf’s “Bat Out of Hell”?

What on God’s green earth did DEVO ever do to qualify for HALL OF FAME?

Saw Prine a month or so ago in Memphis. Through a ticketing mistake wound up getting seats dead center about 10 rows back. That boy can put on a show!!!
To: Calvin Locke
Rundgren produced XTC’s “Skylarking”.

Why are rappers and obvious non-rock artists even allowed in the Rock and Roll HOF?
Def Leppard has a top 50 best-selling album of all-time. They should have been in years ago.

I walked out of the only John Prine concert I've attended when he started ragging on Bush. Of course, if he did that today I'd probably stand up and clap knowing what I know about Bush.
That said, the RnRHOF is worthless.

Consider this:
Bad Company, Guess Who and Doobie Brothers are still not in and this year's nominees includes Janet Jackson and Todd Rungren!
This has really become a joke.

Didnt Rundgren produce Meatloafs Bat Out of Hell? Not only did he produce it, he played guitar as well, including the motorcycle sound on the title track.

Radiohead and Rage Against The Machine? Good to see the RRHOF committee has a sense of humor.
