By misusing the term “racist” the left has devalued it as they do everything they touch. I know people who will use the “n-word” occasionally but not in hatred or because they think blacks are inferior, but as a descriptive term which was part of their vocabulary since childhood when it was acceptable. They are good people who do not deserve the “death penalty” treatment that the left would give them if they were in positions of prominence.

It worked for people of mixed ancestry who looked more like swarthy whites than like blacks - the writer and critic Anatole Broyard is probably the most famous example (a black Creole who looked more like someone with Middle Eastern ancestry). The girl in this story couldn't possible pull off such a "pass."

3. My point in posting this is to show the “TRANS-” movement arbitrarily chooses which individuals are in need of therapy and which they put under the knife and on hormone therapy.
You are allowed to be whatever gender (and Facebook recognizes 72 of them) you want to be. But race is still all about biology and DNA. See, for example, Elizabeth Warren’s recent 1/1024th Native American test result.
I do hope this young woman continues her studies and gets to college where she can interact with intelligent young people of all races, creeds, and nationalities.
I'm Neapolitan (black, white, and red), but I grew up under the 'one drop rule', so I willingly accept the black label.
My wife is white, so our kids are even more diluted. Since race has never been a thing in our house, I have no idea how they racially identify. I think they call themselves beige.
The Left's official line used to be that "race is a social construct" just like with "gender." I guess they didn't like the implications of their own ridiculous dogmas, so now they've changed course when convenient.
It reminds me of how the Left's position on intelligence tests used to be that IQ was "culturally biased" and arbitrary (when racial differences in IQ show up), but all that so-called principled opposition to psychometric testing never stopped liberals from talking about "low IQ rednecks" in reference to Trump voters.

A perm is a chemical straightening process that leaves nappy hair 'permanently' straight. It is impervious to water, and doesn't wash out. Eventually, like hair dye, it does grow out.
Hot pressing is the older, more traditional method of straightening nappy hair. After pressing, the hair must be kept dry, or it will curl again. Also, pressing generally only lasts a few days, then needs to be redone.
