Reminds me of when I was looking for the Gumbo base I like to use. I was going to have it shipped to a friend, who lives up North and can’t find it, in her store.
I found the base and thought it was priced awfully high. I read the first review and couldn’t stop laughing.
It said something like.....I can buy this in my local Piggly Wiggly’s for .98¢. Now, WHY would I spend 5 dollars on this???
I think it had a TON of likes, including mine.
That is the best ever. I made myself sick laughing at the reviews. Ii guarantee I never would buy or eat them!

September 22, 2018I'm familiar with this genre as I have read "The Complete History of Life on Tatooine" and "The Last Days of the Empire of Kling" in the original Klingon. Nur Masalha does a wonderful job in combining history and fantasy together to weave a complex story of an imaginary people and their imaginary land! Legendary! Highly recommend for lovers of fantasy. Buy it soon, because it is bound to be a bestseller.

The comments arent directed toward Amazon, they are left by people who have previously used the product as a consumer advisory directed toward you the potential buyer.
One must be careful when buying a highly rated product there as they have been caught copying positive reviews from entirely different products to boost a poorly performing one.
I just went to visit one of my favorite personal reviews. Surprise! It was deleted. Of the 837(?) reviews that remained, almost all of them were positive reviews but of a vaguely similar product with only a few negative reviews for the actual product.
Okay - I notice some reviews state that they are buyers; I disregard those that are not verified buyers.
My favorite was the kids toy laser scope. Good Lord, those were funny!
Even aside from the funny stuff, it’s interesting to pick out someone who has purchased a product, book, or whatever that you have purchased, and see what else they buy. I’ve gotten some good ideas for books, music, and even everyday household items that way.
It’s also very interesting to see the different people with different tastes out there - some of them are very thoughtful, and excellent writers.
(I can never decide it the Internet has made the world smaller, or much larger. It usually seems larger, to me.)
I read someplace that the best way to buy on Amazon is to mentally throw out the five star and one star reviews because they're most likely fake...
