The Maytag repairman was the loneliest guy in town.

Yes. LOL.

Snowfall total...1 foot in 8 hours.

When we left this morning the back roads were terrible. After going out for breakfast they were much better,

Yes, mine last about that many years too. That was when a Sears repairman told me..if I had used vinegar instead of liquid softener he wouldn't have been here. I've been using vinegar for many years now.

Donald J. Trump ‏
...49m... People are not being told that the Republican Party is on track to pick up two seats in the U.S. Senate, and epic victory: 53 to 47. The Fake News Media only wants to speak of the House, where the Midterm results were better than other sitting Presidents.

Today in the East Room of the @WhiteHouse, it was my true privilege to award seven extraordinary Americans with the Presidential Medal of Freedom...

“Virtual mountain climbing. I like that.”

It’s a lot safer. And warmer.

Of course, I lose any bragging rights :-(

What does fabric softener due to the washing machine? I had heard it deteriorates fabrics. I started using vinegar long ago when I was figuring out prepping supplies. I practiced making my own detergent too. Used vinegar also, As well as in multiple other cleaning capacities. It is so much cheaper when you make your own!

But I hadn’t thought of wear and tear on the machine either.

I still have my Maytag washer/dryer I bought in 1985. I am keeping them as long as possible. It does sound like my washer transmission (I think that is what it is called) is going out though. When I had the Maytag man out to put a new heating element in my dryer he said if the transmission goes in the machine it is doubtful if they could get the part and if they could it would cost more then a new machine.

I loved doing the wash in the old wringer washers. Got the laundry done so much faster.

Have you ever noticed how all this new stuff that was to make it so much easier takes SO LONG to do? I especially notice it at the grocery store when people are checking out. Takes two to three times longer then the old cash registers.

We have my folks’ 1985 Maytag washer. Works like a charm. Does quick wash loads and cleans better than any of the newer models, that we’ve had.
