Grand Solar Minimum Intensifies
XYZ ^ | 22 November 2018 | David Hilton

A leading pioneer in the study of Grand Solar Minima and their effects on the planet has been solar physicist Professor Valentina Zharkova of Northumbria University. She has been attacked savagely for her theory that the weakened solar magnetosphere during a Grand Solar Minimum is the main factor in driving global cooling on Earth, but she is increasingly being vindicated as global cooling progresses. Recently, Professor Zharkova gave a lecture to the Global Warming Policy Foundation. You can view the lecture below, but it’s heavy-going. Here’s a summary of her main points:

• The solar magnetosphere is key to understanding how solar cycles influence Earth’s climate;
• Solar cycle oscillations are stable and consistent over time, so therefore predictable;
• We are in fact entering a Super Grand Solar Minimum, which recur approximately every 2000 years;
• This mini ice age will be much longer and more severe than earlier predicted, lasting 400 years;
• At the bottom of this ice age period in 200 years’ time, the average temperature on Earth will be 2C;
• The transition period into the ice age, which is usually the period of most vulcanism and disruption, will occur from 2020 until 2053.

Professor Zharkova’s research team have also demonstrated that temperature fluctuations on Earth, Mars and Jupiter all correlate to the solar cycle.

It’s the sun, stupid.

And, starting this winter in the Northern Hemisphere, everyone is going to realise that something is very, very wrong.

“We will be Canada or worse. Invest appropriately.”

Actually your statement is very factual. Once “real science” shows we are going into a cooling period one should go long on grain futures before economic collapse happens. When economic collapse happens grain futures will just be paper of no value. One must take the profits quickly and convert them to assets of value that are immune to economics.

We could run every motor on the planet 24/7/365 and it wouldn't overcome the controlling effects of the sun.

One of the correlations, maybe the only one so far discovered, between CO2 concentrations in the atmosphere and temperature is that first the temperature rises, then 600 years later, the CO2 increases. That may be caused by the ocean absorbing large amounts of CO2 out of the air when it is cold, and then releasing it when the ocean warms up again.

If we are heading into a sharp cooling, the ocean will draw CO2 out of the atmosphere. In the last ice age, we went down to 180ppm, and today we are only at 400+ppm. Photosynthesis stops at about 150ppm. So if we don't want to gamble that the next minimum will take us below 150ppm, putting more CO2 into the atmosphere would be a good idea.

#2. If an Ice Ages kills the right people, who cares? Less “carbon dioxide” pollution /Sarc; less human waste to process; more food for sane people; less noise pollution from Marxist, Nazis, Moslem extremists, black extremists, and the So. Poverty Law Center.

If California or Arizona is too hot now, just wait a couple of decades. It should be just right - as Bill Paxton would say, “But it’s a dry heat”. Let’s turn those states Republican again by moving back in and taking over. Moonbeam will be worm food by then. Newsome will have been jailed for corruption. Kamala Harris will have a new sugar daddy, and the San Andreas Fault will do its thang. Waterfront property at the Nevada border will become expensive so buy now.

Mammoths. Bring back the Wooly Mammoths and Musk Ox. They were really cool creatures.

Buy stock in wool products, kid, you’ll make a fortune!

The climate is also affected by several cyclic variations in the earth’s orbit, changes in the intensity of volcanic activity, occasional meteorite impacts, and large-scale natural but poorly explained changes in climate such as the Younger Dryas and the 8.2 ka event.

Fact is that if all ‘best’ global warming predictions were true, the Earth would heat up by plus 1.5 watts. The Cooling period will bring a cooling of minus 6 watts, leaving the remainder of a a negative cooling of 4.5 watts of solar energy reaching earth.

Carbon will not help - as the Sun produces less wattage, the Sun is also moving (wobbling) slightly away from the Earth making the winters harsher and the summers hotter in both latitudes.

Time to move to Mexico ...

Don’t forget it’s not global warming anymore, its man-made climate change! Whatever happens is mans fault and we need to tax and suppress you to fix it. I heard straight faced from a liberal follower that it’s now bc of all our co2 emissions that we are going to be cooling.

Uh oh! And so the stampede to warmer southern comfort begins. Everyone, head for the northern part of South America and the middle of Africa! It’s the only way that you’ll survive.

There are muskoxen, but the woolly mammoth will need to be cloned. We can turn them loose in New York and Pennsylvania. ;-)

At the bottom of this ice age period in 200 years’ time, the average temperature on Earth will be 2C

I think that is a misinterpretation: I believe that more correctly, that should read: "At the bottom of this ice age period in 200 years’ time, the average temperature on Earth will be 2C lower than the average of our present interglacial period."

The last "mini ice age, the "Little Ice Age", dropped global temperatures by less than 1 deg. C.* The last major period of glaciation dropped global temps at its worst around 9 deg C, to approximately 7 deg. C. That was enough to nearly wipe out humans. A drop to 2 deg. C would be incredible, likely resulting in a many millions of years long "Slushball Earth" similar to some interpretations of the Cryogenian Period.

*The cooling of The Little Ice Age" was very spotty, both with time and location, and with lesser and even spottier effects in the Southern Hemisphere. This makes the average a little misleading: Some regions of the Northern Hemisphere cooled, at least for short periods, several degrees -- enough to cause widespread havoc. (The Wikipedia article on The Little Ice Age is quite troubling: A recurrence of The Little Ice Age, essentially "doubled", would not kill off the majority of humans, assuming it did not lead to a major nuclear war, but, it certainly could lead to many millions of lives cut short.)
