I’m completely off-grid too... I bought the cheapest propane stove/oven combo I could find at Home Depot or Lowes.... I think it was abut $350.00. It is a “Premier” brand... Has been absolutely flawless for 6 years. No electronics at all.
I know, why would GE be making gas ovens. Because they can, I guess.
We got an LG from Costco - two ovens, 4 burners and a center grill that runs on NG. Works great, would not trade for anything.
We have a Kenmore about 7+ yrs old. Very nice, But..
if I had to do it again I’d get a dual fuel range.
Gas top, electric oven. Why?
Heat from gas oven is waaaay more than electric. Have to have lots of air to support combustion. And yes I have a vent.
Not so in an electric oven.
Only problem is they are much more expensive than a single fuel range.
In 2016 GE sold their appliance division to China’s Haier Group, therefore GE branded appliances made from mid-2016 to present could be GE in name only, GE nameplate full of made in china parts.

Less than a year old? Why are you paying anything to fix it?
I too live out in the boonies. The problem you are likely having with your electronically controlled stove and other electronic devices is probably poor quality electrical service. Until I finally put surge protectors on everything in the house, I had everything from land line phones to stoves to TVs dying left and right. I also finally just put in a whole house surge protector. After all that, I have no problems.

IDK but I am going to follow this...have the same issues myself. When I tried to buy a stove without all the electronics I was told I would have to buy a commercial stove. I have not looked at that yet. My sister in law is giving me an old cookstove but it sure didn’t work out when I got my last one. Washing machines are getting bizarre too, takes them forever to wash clothes and they have so many things to go wrong.
Stay away from anything with electronic bells and whistles. The electronics don't last long and when they fail, you will be told your model has been discontinued and parts are no longer available.
What is your power source? Grid? Inverter? Generator? Try putting a high quality line filter in the circuit.
I’m sure you’re aware, but I’ll tell you anyway. If you’re buying any gas appliance, they are likely set up for natural gas. If your using propane, you need a different size orifice. A tech might not be aware of that either. I’ve seen this many times in thermal electric generators that aren’t running well.
Go old fashioned as possible - the stoves I grew up with had temp control for the oven and no other electronics....and worked forever.....as far as appliances go these days, LG is getting a lot of high ratings - don’t know if they make gas ranges though.
I have a house in an area where the power goes out, so I chose a SAMSUNG range / oven that can be lit WITHOUT Piezo electronics. I bought it from Lowe’s after calling SAMSUNG. It’s very nice, and does just what it says. Unplug it, and light it with a match if you like. Well insulated, too. SAMSUNG is making some of the most reliable kitchen appliances... And I say this with Whirlpool / KitchenAid / Amana as former clients.

We have had one for 10+ years, they are commercial and VERY simple.
We ordered it as (high altitude) propane and it came jetted appropriately.
It has a light - on/off toggle switch and a convection fan, again a simple on/off toggle switch.
It does have igniters but when our power is out we turn on a burner and light a match.
Over the years my Wife’s sister has purchased two new Blue Star ranges (two different houses having moved) and as much as we like our range, the finishing details are even better on the new ones.
The burners themselves are HEAVY cast iron and simply cannot wear out, if they did they lift up and slide out (for cleaning, mostly).
They even have gone down in price but are still spendy at $4,000 or less.
You can order the burners to your specifications, we have 2) 25,000 BTU in the front - it’s easy to pull the cast iron grate off and put a wok on these high output burners and COOK. The back has a 15,000 BTU & 7,500 BTU burners. Very nice.
As for customer support we had an issue with our door hinges WELL past our warranty. They sent us a new door with revised hinges ($700) and a new gasket ($50) - all at no charge. Keep in mind Blue Star offers 600+ colors and we had a custom color range so this was not just simply pulling something out of stock and shipping it off. I had to be made, then sent to their paint shop and then shipped.
These ranges are made in Pennsylvania by US workers.
They come in sizes from 24” to at least 60” and have many styles to choose from.
I would NEVER hesitate to purchase or recommend a new Blue Star.
