I had a little fun with a Southern Poverty Law Center fundraising letter cloaked as a "survey".
I have no idea why they sent it to my arch-conservative 95-yr-old mother, who passed away two months ago.
Perhaps they figure any resident of an intensive dementia-care facility will be receptive to Leftwing fundraising pitches, regardless of lifelong politics.
So here are some of my answers to their "survey" questions:
Q: "In the past year, have you or anyone in your family been called a slur or been the target of a verbal assault because of your socio-economic background or sexual orientation?"
A: No, just for our politics.
Q: "Have you seen evidence of organized hate groups in your community?"
A: Yes - Social Justice Warriors at the local university. And of course surveys in the mailbox from hate groups such as SPLC.
Q: "Do you think internet companies have a responsibility to stop racists from using their digital platforms to indoctrinate children?"
A: Do you mean like the ones shouting, "All white men should shut up"? That could be difficult to do, seeing as how one of them is a US Senator from Hawaii.
Q: "Do you think enough has been done by the federal government to eliminate discrimination in housing, education, and employment?"
A: Are you referring to colleges refusing to hire or promote conservatives? Or cancelling events featuring conservative speakers?
Q: "Do you think law enforcement should do more to monitor and invesigate active hate groups and terrorist organizations in the U.S.?"
A: On the contrary, the Deep State within the Dept of Justice should be the ones being investigated.
Q: "Are you familiar with the "alt-right" movement and its white nationalist ideology"
A: Are you familiar with Antifa? Or with the ultra-extremist ideology of the SPLC?
Q: "Do you think President Trump's rhetoric and policies are emboldening hate groups?"
A: Emboldening hate groups like the SPLC? Yes.
Q: "Should cities be allowed to operate debtors' prisons that jail people when they cannot afford to pay fines line traffic tickets?"
A: ??? This is the USA 2018, not 1840's England. Please go pick up any recent newspaper and carefully study the date.
Go and do that now. I'll wait.

Q: "Please add any additional thoughts or suggestions you would like to share with the SPLC's leadership team regarding justice in America."
A: Yes, please feel free to share this, the next time you meet to plan joint strategy with leaders of the DemoKKKratiKKK Party. Thank you in advance.
It warms my heart to know that you are listening attentively to what I say, instead of merely opening the envelope to look for donations, and tossing the surveys in the trash.
Half of the back page was just details on how to send them $$$. I filled in one space with:
Instead, you please send me $100, and I promise to forward it to the Family Research Council for better security systems to prevent more bloodshed, the next time your Hate Speech inspires another nut case to shoot up their HQ.
And the other space with:
Perhaps I could send you my copper penny collection, stipulating you melt it down and cast an heroic statue in your lobby labeled, "Undersung Heros of the Civil Rights Movement," featuring role models such as Tawana Brawley & Al Sharpton, Antifa, and the "Pigs in a Blanket" chanters.
You are much more kind with your answers, than I have been.
Someone put us on this same list. Perhaps as a joke.
I answer much more pointedly and direct, when I return their surveys.

I’m white and was repeatedly called “nigger” by two masked hispanic youths when I robbed of my wallet at gunpoint (not this past year but it did happen this century).
Somehow I don’t think that is the sort of hate crime SPLCommunists are seeking out.

Traffic tickets (parking and speeding) have gone beyond punitive to confiscatory these days (the goal is revenue enhancement, the cities WANT legal offense so they can tax it). Of course, those who are scofflaws don’t need to pay and after racking up a dozen offenses, can plea to the court on “amnesty day” and pay a tiny fraction of the amount.
White people will be charged full fare.

I think their monitoring has been quite successful. Not a terrorist attack or school shooting occurs that investigators don’t already have a “known wolf” file on. They’ve even done in-person interviews with the Boston bombers, Orlando shooter, San Bernadino shooters, Ft. Hood shooter, etc. after receiving tips. They cut bait and let these Islamists kill Americans.
Need more action, the investigations aren’t the problem.

But I guess the type of person who might believe that claim would also be the type of person who would donate to them.
And no more MKULTRA double ups.
