GLENDALE, Ariz. -- A few UCF players responded with tears. Others with silence. And still more with looks of satisfaction.
The scene in the Knights' locker room offered a full range of emotions Tuesday after their 40-32 loss to LSU in the PlayStation Fiesta Bowl that snapped a 25-game winning streak for the upstart out of the American Athletic Conference.
"I'm proud of these guys for the way we came out to play with LSU," linebacker Nate Evans said. "I mean, it's LSU, a team we should never be on the field with, according to higher people."
..
"Our team deserved to play in the playoff with what they accomplished, both this year and last year," White said. "A four-team playoff isn't an adequate postseason. I think most people are starting to realize that.

Uh, pride. Last game if you are a senior.
No TV slot the next day. That is what pays all the revenue.

Playoff needs to ban any team who plays FCS (Division 2) schools.
That would force SEC teams to play a full schedule of D1 schools, like the rest of the power5 conferences.
So tired of rigged CFB system.

When players first started sitting out bowl games, coaches, fans and the media were mad. The reality is that most bowl games don’t really count for much. Two years later, no one knows who won what bowl, unless it was the FBS National title.
I wondered about that when the playoff began.
Money has pretty much ruined college sports.
I agree with your points, but the FCS is the old Division 1-AA.
Also, the B1G schedules these schools. Prior to joining the FBS, Appalachian State beat Michigan...
And Auburn was missing its star tailback last year, but no UCF supporter took that into account last year, nor should they.
+1
plenty of slots available on ESPNU or ESPN2
LOL- most of those seniors could care less after they blew it to Alabama- once again- and are thinking about April’s draft...
are the UT players any less prideful?
Nope, all full up with womens soccer and transgendered curling.
Usually when people say that it is because their team is losing and they are making excuses. After what I saw last night, the selection panel got it right. Clempson and the Alabama National All-Star Team will play for the Ship.
