“Love Will Keep Us Together” was written by Neil Sedaka.

At the end of the song, she sings “Sedaka is back”..

I would have thought after all these years, the Captain would have been elevated in rank.

Interesting fact about Toni Tennille...

She sang backing vocals on Pink Floyd's "The Wall".

I found this excerpt on Wiki:
"I went to see the Pink Floyd concert at the Sports Arena in Los Angeles. There was a 15-year-old boy sitting in front of me who recognized me. He turned around and snottily said, 'What are YOU doing here?'

"So I told him I sang on the album. He ran off to find a friend who had brought the LP to the show, and looked at the back to see if my name was really on there. A few minutes later, he came back and apologetically said, 'Can I have your autograph?'

C&T was consumately schlocky retardedly sentimental and unsophisticated

Never cared for their music, however, my wife and I found ourselves on a cruise (late 80's early 90's - not sure exactly), and the Captain and Tennille were the entertainment
Naturally, they did their hits, but most of the show was a jazz music thing - very entertaining and surprisingly very good.
Left with a much better impression of their talent

I heard he never took his captain’s hat off, even slept in it, because of baldness.

I don’t see how that adds up since both are well beyond being medicare recipients at the time of their divorce. She’s 78, He was 74. Beyond the fingers of Obamacare.

I used to work with a guy who was in the Glee Club at Auburn with Her. He was also a neighbor and friend.

He said she was well liked by everyone.

I had a similar experience with Charo. We saw her show. The first half was the shake her boobs “cuchi-cuchi”dumb blond show. The second half was her playing classical guitar with amazing results. Totally changed my perception of her

He had a pretty good show, but I understand he cheated on her, and they broke up the act. She, of course, was beautiful.
