"a discount, like $5,000 to $10,000 per acre on average"

It is impossible to have even a rough ballpark figure without going through relevant federal land holdings in close detail. A lot of BLM type lands might only be valued at under $1,000 per acre, sometimes even far less. Probably the best 1-5% of federal lands (leaving out the obvious exclusions like National Parks etc.) could be worth a lot more for potential commercial and/or residential purposes, but I don't think it is possible to ballpark the numbers without knowing a great deal about the holdings across many states.

I DO agree that the federal govt controls far too much land, and that options for downsizing the fed holdings would be important even aside from the issue of raising funds for the wall.

BUT, all such land selections, sales, and purchases must be done in a very open, transparent, non-corrupt way. The potentials for various financial scandals would be enormous.

This map is labeled "Surface and Subsurface" and is almost identical. Are you talking about a legal difference?

"At last count, there was some $32,000,000,000 available from the confiscated drug monies just sitting somewhere doing nothing.

I'd wager that if our swamp dwelling elected officials have ANY way to place themselves in the vicinity of these funds, there is now considerably less money than there once was.

Not possible to build the wall using sale of land. The corrupt and more powerful than the Executive Branch can stop the wall. We have become a banana republic controlled by the courts. And Trump will not fight the court by declaring their ruling invalid and charged them with treason.

“Well, that and the fact that those Western states didn’t want the land when they became states.”

And just how do you know that to be the case? And moving ahead 100 years or more, if that were to have ever been the case, it isn’t now. My wife is from Nevada, and I can tell you that Nevadans are pissed off to no end about the Federal Government’s “ownership” of nearly 90% of their state.

It could be commanded , by Executive Order , TOMORROW

Trump will not do it. Why? He would rather defeat them by convincing. Won't work. America if finished. Never survive another election. We will become a communist nation and the Constitution mights as bell be burned.

The Presidio in downtown San Fran must be worth billions alone.

The federal government owns OCEAN FRONT real estate all over the country. I can think of places here in NH that are worth millions because of their location in Portsmouth, Rye and New Castle Island.

Is there a bunch of federal land next to Pelosi’s vineyards? Sell it to someone who will build high density low income housing.

You know, I think you're onto something big. San Fran Nan always struck me as a woman of the people. She rightly identified the tax cuts as peanuts - proof she cares about the little man.

In addition to the high density, low income housing you recommended.... We need to build a homeless shelter, you know the kind like they have in Seattle where they ask you to please refrain from doing drugs, but you can still dope if you must

The people also need methadone clinic and a free needle exchange

Some midnight basketball courts

Maybe a free legal clinic; preferably one specializing in "migrant rights"

Of course we need to gentrify the area and make sure there are plenty of small businesses......

I'm thinking: check cashing stores, bail bondsmen, used car lots, gentlemen's clubs, tattoo parlors, liquor stores, and pawn shops.

We also need to make sure we're not judgmental, and that San Fran Nan feels right at home - public defecation and urination = a human right.

We have a chance to do something big. It's for the children.

people who checked a month or two ago said it was all there. So go check now and if it is all there use it or if you are right use what’s left.

Simple fact is this. The mines in the state of NV produce some 5 million ounces of gold a year.

There is enough gold under the large ghost mining town of Bodie, CA to pay off all CA Debt, all liabilities, fund the teachers, fix infrastructure, and have a surplus.....but the dumb-asses won't let anyone mine due to the environmental commies that are in control.

Annul all appeals and holds and use that money .

That would bury the president in lawsuits. The executive does not have the power to annul legal proceedings except for pardons and clemency/commutations.

There is plenty of drug money to be funneled to the wall without upending the legal system

I suggested to him , again today , that he use that tact .

I want to see President Trump above and beyond all legal restriction and recourse .

The Dems think and act like they are already.
It’s time to crush them and show them how’s it’s really done .

Where do I sign up ?

How much revenue does one raise with a 100% tax?

With a captive audience, a lot.

If Mexican workers want to send $100 to their homeland, they have to spend $200.
